Μακάρι να είχαμε δέκα Παπασταύρου... Δυστυχώς έχουμε περισσότερους

Η ποινική δίωξη που ασκήθηκε σε βαθμό κακουργήματος σε βάρος του Σταύρου Παπασταύρου για το αδίκημα της απόπειρας απάτης σε βάρος του δημοσίου δεν είναι μια ασήμαντη δικαστική είδηση αλλά μια ηχηρή πολιτική εξέλιξη που φέρνει σε δύσκολη θέση το κόμμα της Νέας Δημοκρατίας.

Κατηγορείται για υπόθεση της Λίστας Λαγκάρντ και απόκρυψη ποσού 5,4 εκατ. ευρώ που εντοπίστηκαν σε εξωχώρια εταιρία μαζί με τον επιχειρηματία Σάμπι Μιωνη ενώ για τους δύο κατηγορούμενους επικρέμεται ποινή πολυετούς κάθειρξης.

Ο Παπασταύρου είναι στενός συνεργάτης του πρώην Πρωθυπουργού Αντώνη Σαμαρά και συνεταίρος της συζύγου τη αρχηγού της ΝΔ Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη σε εταιρία φορολογικού παραδείσου. Δεν διώκεται για τροχαία παράβαση αλλά για απάτη ύψους 460.000 ευρώ, παράπτωμα με σοβαρή ποινική αλλά και πολιτική απαξία.

Είναι ταυτισμένος με το κόμμα της αξιωματικής αντιπολίτευσης και η δίωξή του υπενθυμίζει με έμφαση ότι η παλιά πολιτική τάξη που χρεοκόπησε τη χώρα διαπλέκεται με μια επιχειρηματική ελίτ που πρωταγωνιστεί σε υποθέσεις απάτης και φοροδιαφυγής.

Και καθώς η αξιωματική αντιπολίτευση συνεχίζει με τα κηρύγματα ηθικής και τάξης στους πολίτες και τους πολιτικούς αντιπάλους, να υπενθυμίσουμε πως δεν έχει περάσει πολύς καιρός από τότε που ο Αντώνης Σαμαράς έλεγε περήφανος από το βήμα της Βουλής «μακάρι να είχαμε 10 Παπασταύρου» ή από τότε που ο Αντιπρόεδρος της ΝΔ είχε προτείνει να ονομαστεί ένας δρόμος με το όνομα του Παπασταύρου.

H υποκρισία - και οι έρευνες των φορολογικών αρχών - αποδεικνύει πως μακάρι να υπήρχαν δέκα Παπασταύρου, αλλά δυστυχώς... υπάρχουν πολλοί περισσότεροι.

Several states vow to take six 'concrete' steps against Israel at Bogota summit
