«Φιάσκο» αμερικανικών πυραύλων, έπεσαν στη Σαουδική Αραβία

Για αστοχία δυο αντιεροπορικών πυραύλων αμερικανικής κατασκευής, τύπου Patriot, κάνουν λόγω αυτόπτες μάρτυρες και δημοσιογράφοι στη Σαουδική Αραβία.

Οι πύραυλοι, εδάφους – αέρος, εκτοξεύθηκαν για να αναχαιτίσουν επίθεση με ρουκέτες ή πυραύλους από την Υεμένη αλλά ο ένας φέρεται να εξερράγη στον αέρα ενώ ο δεύτερος εμφανίζεται σε βίντεο να αλλάζει ξαφνικά πορεία και να πέφτει σε κατοικημένη περιοχή της πρωτεύουσας Ριάντ.

Η πολεμική αεροπορία της Σαουδικής Αραβίας αναφέρει ότι αναχαίτισε συνολικά επτά εισερχόμενους πυραύλους που κατευθύνονταν σε πόλεις στα νότια και νοτιανατολικά της χώρας. Τους πυραύλους εκτόξευσαν αντάρτες Χούτι που μάχονται την σαουδαραβική εισβολή στην Υεμένη.

Παρόλα αυτά δυο βίντεο που κυκλοφόρησαν στο ίντερνετ από το Ριάντ, δείχνουν μια διαφορετική εικόνα από αυτή που παρουσιάζει η Σαουδική Αραβία.

Εκπρόσωπος των ενόπλων δυνάμεων της Σαουδικής Αραβίας ανέφερε ότι θραύσματα από ένα πύραυλο έπεσαν σε σπίτι στο Ριάντ σκοτώνοντας έναν άνθρωπο και τραυματίζοντας άλλους δυο.

Από την επέμβαση της Σαουδικής Αραβίας έχουν σκοτωθεί τουλάχιστον 10.000 άτομα και έχουν εκτοπιστεί περίπου δυο εκατομμύρια ενώ ο ΟΗΕ και η UNICEF προειδοποιούν ότι βρίσκεται σε εξέλιξη μια από τις μεγαλύτερες επιδημίες χολέρας που έχει γνωρίσει η ανθρωπότητα τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες.

Εν τω μεταξύ ανεπιβεβαίωτες παραμένουν οι φήμες που κυκλοφορούσαν χτες το βράδυ από Αμερικανούς δημοσιογράφους ότι παράλληλα με την Σαουδική Αραβία δέχθηκε επίθεση με πυραύλους και το Ισραήλ. Η ισραηλινή εφημερίδα Haaretz ανέφερε ότι η αντιπυραυλική ασπίδα προστασίας του Ισραήλ ενεργοποιήθηκε χωρίς να έχει υπάρξει επίθεση καθώς η οργάνωση Χαμάς πραγματοποιούσε προγραμματισμένη στρατιωτική άσκηση – για την οποία μάλιστα είχε ενημερώσει.

Αμερικανικά μέσα ενημέρωσης αναφέρουν ότι Ισραήλ και Σαουδική Αραβία ασκούν ασφυκτικές πιέσεις στην Ουάσινγκτον με στόχο να προκαλέσουν αμερικανική παρέμβαση εναντίον του Ιράν.
