Το Αμερικανικό ιμπεριαλιστικό κτήνος απειλεί τη Βενεζουέλα με πραξικόπημα και εισβολή

Η άρνηση των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών στο αίτημα του προέδρου της Βενεζουέλας Νικολάς Μαδούρο να απομακρύνουν τους διπλωμάτες τους σε διάστημα 72 ωρών, δίνει στην Ουάσινγκτον τη δυνατότητα να κλιμακώσει τις απειλές στρατιωτικής εισβολής.

Ήδη ο Αμερικανός υπουργός Εξωτερικών Μάικ Πομπέο, προειδοποίησε ότι οι ΗΠΑ θα «λάβουν τις απαραίτητες δράσεις εναντίον όσων θέσουν σε κίνδυνο την ασφάλεια του προσωπικού της πρεσβείας».

Παρόμοιες απειλές εξαπέλυσε και ο γερουσιαστής της Φλόριντα, Μάρκο Ρούμπιο, ο οποίος θεωρείται αρχιτέκτονας της πολιτικής του προέδρου Τραμπ απέναντι στη Βενεζουέλα.

Το γεγονός ότι η αμερικανική κυβέρνηση αρνείται το αίτημα της νόμιμης ηγεσίας της Βενεζουέλας να απομακρύνει τους διπλωμάτες της, σημαίνει πρακτικά ότι η αμερικανική πρεσβεία στο Καράκας θα αποτελεί ένα είδος κατεχόμενου εδάφους στο εσωτερικό ενός κυρίαρχου κράτους. Οποιαδήποτε προσπάθεια των αρχών της Βενεζουέλας να επιβάλουν την απόφαση της εκτελεστικής εξουσίας για την απομάκρυνση των διπλωματών μπορεί θεωρητικά να δώσει στην Ουάσινγκτον την αφορμή που ζητά για την ανάληψη στρατιωτικής δράσης.

Παρόλα αυτά, η αμερικανική κυβέρνηση φαίνεται πως έχει, προς το παρόν τουλάχιστον, άλλες προτεραιότητες. Όπως εξηγούσε ο Βενεζουελάνος οικονομολόγος Φρανσίσκο Ροντρίγεζ, η αναγνώριση του προέδρου Χουάν Γκουαϊντό, σημαίνει ότι οι ΗΠΑ μπορούν να του προσφέρουν τον έλεγχο όλων των περιουσιακών στοιχείων της Βενεζουέλας σε αμερικανικό έδαφος, αλλά και τη δυνατότητα να πραγματοποιεί αυτός την πώληση πετρελαίου στη χώρα.

Ουσιαστικά πρόκειται για μια ιδιοποίηση περιουσιακών στοιχείων του λαού της Βενεζουέλας, τα οποία παραδίδονται σε έναν άγνωστο μέχρι πρότινος πολιτικό, ο οποίος έχει ως βασικούς συμμάχους τον πρόεδρο Τραμπ και τον φασίστα πρόεδρο της Βραζιλίας Μπολσονάρο.

Η διαχείριση των πετρελαϊκών αποθεμάτων της Βενεζουέλας αποτελεί το σημαντικότερο παράγοντα στην χάραξη της αμερικανικής στρατηγικής. Στόχος των ΗΠΑ όμως δεν είναι ο ολοκληρωτικός έλεγχος των κοιτασμάτων (αν και είναι βέβαιο ότι σε περίπτωση επικράτησης της δεξιάς αντιπολίτευσης αρκετές αμερικανικές εταιρείες που λυμαίνονταν τον ενεργειακό πλούτο της χώρας πριν από τον Τσάβες θα επιστρέψουν στη Βενεζουέλα).

Πολύ μεγαλύτερη ανησυχία προκαλούν στις ΗΠΑ οι προσπάθειες της Βενεζουέλας να αποδεσμευτεί από τη χρήση του δολαρίου στις διεθνείς τις συναλλαγές, αλλά και η στενή συνεργασία της με χώρες όπως η Κίνα και η Ρωσία, που παίζουν σημαίνοντα ρόλο στην παγκόσμια αγορά ενέργειας ως παραγωγοί και καταναλωτές.

Στο παρελθόν οι ΗΠΑ δεν δίστασαν να ισοπεδώσουν χώρες όπως το Ιράκ και η Λιβύη που θέλησαν να ανεξαρτητοποιηθούν από το δολάριο. Και αυτό είναι ένα πολύ κακό προηγούμενο για το τι θα μπορούσε να ακολουθήσει και στη Βενεζουέλα.


Ο υπουργός άμυνας της Βενεζουέλας, Βλαντιμίρ Παντρίνο, δήλωσε ότι ο στρατός θα συνεχίσει να προασπίζεται το σύνταγμα της χώρας, την εθνική ανεξαρτησία και τον πρόεδρο Μαδούρο και δεν θα αποδεχθεί έναν “δοτό πρόεδρο”.

Με μήνυμά του στο twitter διευκρίνισε ότι ο στρατός δεν πρόκειται να στηρίξει τα “σκοτεινά συμφέροντα ή να κινηθεί έξω απ΄τα όρια της νομιμότητας”.

Λίγο αργότερα ανάλογο μήνυμα στήριξης του Μαδούρο έστειλε στο twitter και ο επικεφαλής στρατηγικών επιχειρήσεων των ενόπλων δυνάμεων της Βενεζουέλας Ρεμίγιο Σεμπάλος ενώ ακολούθησε και ο αρχηγός γενικού επιτελείου Σουάρεθ Τσούριο.

Αμερικανοί αξιωματούχοι έχουν καλέσει επανειλημμένα το στρατό της Βενεζουέλας να ανατρέψει την κυβέρνηση της χώρας.

Σύμεφωνα με παλαιότερο δημοσίευμα των New York Times Αμερικανοί αξιωματούχοι είχαν συναντηθεί τρείς φορές με μέλη των ενόπλων δυνάμεων της Βενεζουέλας για να συζητήσουν το ενδεχόμενο πραξικοπηματικής ανατροπής του προέδρου Νικολάς Μαδούρο.

Μια από τις συναντήσεις πραγματοποιήθηκε σε αμερικανική πρεσβεία σε ευρωπαϊκή χώρα, παρουσία υψηλόβαθμων διπλωματών των ΗΠΑ. Ανάμεσα στα σχέδια που παρουσίασαν τότε οι επίδοξοι πραξικοπηματίες ήταν η παράλληλη σύλληψη του Μαδούρο και άλλων κυβερνητικών αξιωματούχων – πιθανότατα στο πρότυπο του αποτυχημένου πραξικοπήματος που είχε πραγματοποιηθεί το 2002 εναντίον του Ούγκο Τσάβες με τη συμμετοχή και της Ουάσινγκτον.


Το #YankeeGoHome, που συγκεντρώνει μηνύματα εναντίον της αμερικανικής προσπάθειας ανατροπής της κυβέρνησης Μαδούρο ήταν στην πρώτη θέση (trending hashtag) στο twitter της Βενεζουέλας.

Αντίθετα το #TenemosNuevoPresidente (έχουμε νέο πρόεδρο) της δεξιάς αντιπολίτευσης βρίσκονταν στην όγδοη θέση.

Αν και η σειρά είναι ιδιαίτερα ευμετάβλητη προκαλεί αίσθηση το γεγονός ότι τα hashtag υπέρ του προέδρου Μαδούρο κυριάρχησαν για αρκετές ώρες παρά το γεγονός ότι το twitter απευθύνεται ως επί το πλείστον σε μεσαία και ανώτερα στρώματα στη Βενεζουέλα.

Σε υψηλότερη θέση από το #TenemosNuevoPresidente βρέθηκε και το #WeAreMADURO

Αντίθετα το #MeDeclaro (από την φράση του Χουάν Γκουάιντο, με την οποία αυτοανακυρήχθηκε πρόεδρος της Βενεζουέλας) μετατράπηκε σύντομα σε σατιρικό hashtag. Μεταξύ άλλων οι χρήστες του twitter άρχισαν να χρίζουν τους εαυτούς τους προέδρους της ετήσιας σοδειάς αβοκάντο και άλλα πολλά.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that.
