Ευρωπαϊκή αποκεντρωμένη ημέρα δράσης κατά της CETA

Εμείς, η κοινωνία των πολιτών, τα κινήματα βάσης, τα εργατικά κινήματα, οι αγρότες, οι περιβαλλοντικές και κοινωνικές ομάδες από όλη την Ευρώπη καλούμε για μια αποκεντρωμένη, ευρωπαϊκή, ημέρα δράσης κατά της εμπορικής συμφωνίας μεταξύ ΕΕ και Καναδά (CETA), που θα πραγματοποιηθεί την 21η Ιανουαρίου και για περαιτέρω αποκεντρωμένες δράσεις και κινητοποιήσεις πριν τη σχετική ψηφοφορία στο Ευρωκοινοβούλιο που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 14 & 15 Φεβρουαρίου 2017.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της μακράς διαδικασίας των διαπραγματεύσεων σχετικά με τη συμφωνία και του νομικού ελέγχου της, επισημάναμε επανειλημμένως τα σημαντικά προβλήματα του κειμένου της CETA. Εισηγηθήκαμε συγκεκριμένες τροποποιήσεις, οι οποίες θα μπορούσαν να οδηγήσουν σε μια πιο δημοκρατική εμπορική πολιτική με περισσότερη διαφάνεια και η οποία θα είχε ως γνώμονα την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος και τα θεμελιώδη δικαιώματα των πολιτών. Στο κείμενο της CETA, όμως, που υπογράφτηκε τον Οκτώβριο του 2016 δεν λήφθηκαν υπόψη οι ανησυχίες που διατυπώσαμε. Για τον λόγο αυτό δηλώνουμε ότι αντιτασσόμαστε σθεναρά στην επικύρωση της συμφωνίας.

Και στις δύο πλευρές του Ατλαντικού πολλοί αγρότες, συνδικαλιστικές οργανώσεις, φορείς της δημόσιας υγείας, περιβαλλοντικές ομάδες και ομάδες προάσπισης των ψηφιακών δικαιωμάτων, όπως και άλλες ΜΚΟ, αλλά και μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις έχουν απορρίψει την εν λόγω συμφωνία.

Καλούμε:

Τους Έλληνες Ευρωβουλευτές να καταψηφίσουν τη CETA στις 14 και 15 Φεβρουαρίου 2017.
Την Ελληνική κυβέρνηση και το Υπουργείο Εθνικής Οικονομίας να μπλοκάρει με κάθε τρόπο την Προσωρινή Εφαρμογή της CETA.
Την Τοπική Αυτοδιοίκηση, τα σωματεία, τους αγροτικούς και τους καταναλωτικούς συνεταιρισμούς, τα κινήματα πολιτών να αντισταθούν στις πολυεθνικές και να υπερασπίσουν την εθνική και την τοπική οικονομία, την εθνική ανεξαρτησία και τη δημοκρατία, την αγροτική παραγωγή και την ασφάλεια τροφίμων.
