Τι σχέση έχει ο Μητσοτάκης με τον Ρούσβελτ; Απάντηση: απολύτως καμία!


Αφού αναλώθηκε στη γνωστή ρητορική και τα κλισέ που χαρακτηρίζουν όλα τα κόμματα της αντιπολίτευσης κατά την πρόσφατη ομιλία του στην ΚΟ της ΝΔ, ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης ξαφνικά θυμήθηκε τον Ρούσβελτ και το Νιου Ντιλ. Όπως ανέφερε:

          Το 1933, σε μια πολύ σκοτεινή περίοδο, η κυβέρνηση Ρούσβελτ εισήγαγε τότε στο Κογκρέσο 15 νομοσχέδια τις πρώτες 100 μέρες. Οι νόμοι αυτοί αποτέλεσαν τη βάση του λεγόμενου Νιου Ντιλ, το οποίο επέτρεψε στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες να βγουν από την τραγική και εξαιρετικά επώδυνη οικονομική κρίση του 1929. Εμείς μέσα στους πρώτους 6 μήνες της θητείας μας, πρέπει να έχουμε ψηφίσει, πρέπει να έχουμε περάσει όλα τα δύσκολα νομοσχέδια για να φύγει η χώρα προς τα εμπρός.

Που κολλάει ο Ρούσβελτ και το Νιου Ντιλ στη σημερινή, άκρως νεοφιλελεύθερη ΝΔ; Η απάντηση είναι απλή: πουθενά.

Όπως αναφέρθηκε σε πρόσφατο άρθρο:

Ο Ρούσβελτ εφάρμοσε μια επιθετική πολιτική κρατικών επενδύσεων, προκειμένου να επανεκκινήσει την οικονομία και να καταπολεμήσει την ανεργία που είχε φτάσει σε εφιαλτικά επίπεδα μετά το μεγάλο κραχ του 29. Επιπλέον, δημιούργησε νέες υποδομές που ωφέλησαν με πολλούς τρόπους την Αμερικανική κοινωνία. Ένα μόνο παράδειγμα, αποτελεί η κρατική εταιρία Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) που δημιουργήθηκε τον Μάιο του 1933, προκειμένου να κατασκευαστούν, μεταξύ άλλων, αντιπλημμυρικά έργα και φράγματα παραγωγής ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας και να δοθεί ώθηση στην οικονομική ανάπτυξη της κοιλάδας του Τενεσί, μια περιοχή που είχε πληγεί ιδιαίτερα από την οικονομική κρίση. Οι ιδιωτικές εταιρίες ήταν ιδιαίτερα δυσαρεστημένες που αποκλείστηκαν από το πρόγραμμα και έχασαν την ευκαιρία για μεγάλα κέρδη.

Ο Ρούσβελτ αντιμετώπισε κριτικές από όλο το πολιτικό φάσμα. Η Αμερικανική οικονομική ελίτ τον κατέκρινε επειδή δεν ήθελε να επιβαρυνθεί με επιπλέον φόρους για την υλοποίηση του “Νιου Ντιλ”. Ακόμα και το ανώτατο δικαστήριο των ΗΠΑ κινήθηκε εναντίον του, θεωρώντας ότι πολλές νομοθετικές ρυθμίσεις του “Νιου Ντιλ” ήταν αντισυνταγματικές. Η προπαγάνδα που εξαπέλυσε η οικονομική ελίτ, επιχείρησε να βαφτίσει τις πολιτικές του “Νιου Ντιλ” Σοσιαλιστικές ή ακόμα και Κομμουνιστικές, κάτι που γίνεται και σήμερα στην Αμερική αλλά και στην Ελλάδα πλέον.

Ένα απόσπασμα από ομιλία του Ρούσβελτ είναι χαρακτηριστικό: “Μερικοί άτολμοι άνθρωποι που φοβούνται την πρόοδο, θα προσπαθήσουν να δώσουν παράξενα ονόματα σε αυτό που κάνουμε. Μερικές φορές θα το αποκαλέσουν “Φασισμό”, άλλες φορές “Κομμουνισμό”, άλλες φορές “αυστηρή ρύθμιση”, άλλες φορές “Σοσιαλισμό”. Όμως, με αυτό τον τρόπο, προσπαθούν να κάνουν ιδιαίτερα περίπλοκο και θεωρητικό, κάτι το οποίο είναι πραγματικά πολύ απλό και πολύ πρακτικό.”

Δηλαδή καμία σχέση με τη φιλοσοφία του Μητσοτάκη και της σημερινής ΝΔ, που είναι σταθερά προσανατολισμένοι στην ιδιωτική πρωτοβουλία και σχεδόν αφορίζουν κάθε ιδέα για δημόσιες επενδύσεις. Άλλωστε, ο Μητσοτάκης το επιβεβαίωσε προς το τέλος της ομιλίας του: “Η παράταξή μας, είναι σταθερά προσανατολισμένη στις αξίες της ιδιωτικής πρωτοβουλίας και της κοινωνικής δικαιοσύνης.”

Παρόλα αυτά, ο Μητσοτάκης παραδέχθηκε ότι το Νιου Ντιλ - δηλαδή ουσιαστικά οι δημόσιες επενδύσεις - επέτρεψε στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες να βγουν από την τραγική και εξαιρετικά επώδυνη οικονομική κρίση του 1929, αυτή δηλαδή που προκάλεσαν οι τότε ομοϊδεάτες του Μητσοτάκη, ενώ οι σημερινοί, επιβάλουν σκληρή λιτότητα και νεοφιλελεύθερες καταστροφικές πολιτικές αφορίζοντας κάθε κρατική παρέμβαση .

Τρικυμία εν κρανίω, ή πολιτικός οπορτουνισμός; Μήπως ο Μητσοτάκης αναγνωρίζει ότι η κοινωνία αρχίζει να αποστρέφεται τον καταστροφικό νεοφιλελευθερισμό, αφού βλέπει ότι αποτυγχάνει πλήρως και είπε να πετάξει έναν Ρούσβελτ για να μετριάσει κάπως τη Θατσερική ρητορική της σημερινής Δεξιάς;

Το πόσο πιστά προσκολλημένη είναι η σημερινή ΝΔ στο Ευρωπαϊκό νεοφιλελεύθερο ιερατείο της Μέρκελ και του Σόιμπλε, φάνηκε όταν αρνήθηκε να ψηφίσει υπέρ της πρόσφατης χορήγησης της έκτακτης ενίσχυσης στους συνταξιούχους. Όπως αναφέρθηκε σε προηγούμενο άρθρο, θα ήταν αδύνατο για τον Κυριάκο Μητσοτάκη και τον σκληρό νεοφιλελεύθερο πυρήνα που ο ίδιος επέλεξε (Γεωργιάδης, Χατζηδάκης), να κάνει οτιδήποτε χωρίς τη συγκατάθεση του ομογάλακτου ιδεολογικά Σόιμπλε και του ΔΝΤ. Δεν υπήρχε περίπτωση να κάνει πίσω ούτε βήμα από την σκληρή νεοφιλελεύθερη γραμμή, στέλνοντας 'λάθος μήνυμα' σε Βρυξέλλες, Βερολίνο και ΔΝΤ, που τον έχουν βάλει να 'ζεσταίνεται' στον πάγκο για να αντικαταστήσει τον Τσίπρα με την πρώτη ευκαιρία.

Αλλά και στο ευρωκοινοβούλιο, οι ευρωβουλευτές του Μητσοτάκη δεν χάνουν ευκαιρία να αποδείξουν πόσο προσηλωμένοι είναι στις μεγάλες πολυεθνικές, αφού ουσιαστικά ψήφισαν πρόσφατα το ξεπούλημα της Ελληνικής φέτας.

Ας αφήσει λοιπόν τα κολπάκια τύπου Νιου Ντιλ ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης, διότι δεν έχει καμία σχέση (ούτε ως προσωπικότητα, ούτε ως ιδεολογία), με τον Φραγκλίνο Ρούζβελτ, ο οποίος δεν υποτάχθηκε στους ιδιώτες, αλλά αντίθετα, κήρυξε πόλεμο εναντίον τους και χρησιμοποίησε το κράτος ως μοχλό για την έξοδο από τη μεγάλη κρίση του 29.
