How the neoliberal establishment tricked the masses again, this time in France

by system failure

We saw the same play in the US election. The mainstream media were silently promoting Donald Trump as the 'anti-establishment candidate'. Add to that the 'extreme' rhetoric of Donald and voilà: you have the perfect trap for the voters.

It looked like no one bothered to think truly rational: how is it possible a billionaire that made his fortune inside the bubble economy of the neoliberal establishment, be an 'anti-establishment' candidate? And the big joke exposed right after his election.

The 'anti-establishment' Donald, actually hired Goldman Sachs to run USA. The 'anti-establishment' Donald signed a bill to deregulate again Wall Street, so that the parasites of the financial mafia to be able to play their games at the expense of the majority, as happened so many times in the past, causing big financial crises. The 'anti-establishment' Donald quickly aligned with the neocon agenda and bombed Syria. In fact, the 'anti-establishment' Donald did even more than the puppet of the establishment, Barack Obama, by provoking dangerously war games in Asia-Pacific. The 'anti-establishment' Donald kept US forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, continued the US interference in Yemen and elsewhere.

So, the comedy staged by the global neoliberal regime was repeated in France during the first round of the French presidential election. The mainstream media, even now are speaking for the collapse of the political establishment, yet they won't tell people that the 'independent centrist' Emmanuel Macron, is actually exactly what the neoliberal establishment wants. An apolitical technocratic puppet approved by the people. A Rothschild banker to take over France. This is 100% victory for the establishment.

Seeing their ratings falling down to the abyss, the two political families that served the establishment for decades in Europe, the Social Democrats and the Popular Right, there was a 'danger' to diverge from the neoliberal agenda in order to attract again voters and re-build their electoral base. So, at the right moment, the elites of the neoliberal regime took the new rabbits out of the hats. In the US the names of the rabbits were Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Guess what are the names of the rabbits in France. That's right: Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen.

Macron is certainly the first priority of the establishment. Not only he comes straight from the banking industry which lies on the top of the pyramid of the financial elites. He is also the new model promoted by the neoliberal regime. A young technocrat without a political party. A post-modern apolitical figure totally compatible to the younger generations who were born and raised according to the completely apolitical culture, built by the regime, especially the last four decades.

If the global neoliberal regime is the Matrix that we live in, Macron is definitely an upgraded version of Agent Smith.

It's funny how the neoliberal ideology is promoted by the propaganda mechanisms as the most 'rational', yet it uses a kind of reverse logic to trick the masses. A billionaire is promoted as 'anti-establishment' in the United States. The political system that serves the establishment collapses in France, yet, the promoted as the 'new', actually serves better the establishment!

This brutal establishment is ready to pull the trigger against anyone who doesn't agree with its most preferred option. The Leftist leader, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, must obey and declare that he supports Macron, otherwise he will be 'crucified' by the media as someone who may indirectly help Le Pen in the second round. The hypocrites of the neoliberal regime will proceed in a psychological bullying against him, by saying that he helps fascism, even if Le Pen is just their reserve. This explains also why Bernie Sanders was forced to endorse Hillary Clinton after his defeat due to the dirty war from the DNC elite.

The worst nightmare for the neoliberal hypocrites would be to see Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the second round against Marine Le Pen. Why? Because they would have to support Le Pen against Mélenchon to protect their interests. They would have been exposed to the people. Yet, now demand from Mélenchon to endorse their primary option Emmanuel Macron against Le Pen. Totally ruthless hypocrites.

Likewise, when the establishment in the US saw with terror that Bernie Sanders was beating Donald Trump by a far more significant percentage than Hillary Clinton, they knew that they had to get rid of him. It was much easier to do it in the primaries with the unfair and undemocratic system of superdelegates and the inside war from DNC. They wouldn't risk to see Bernie at the finals with Trump, where the whole world would watch closely.

Yet, even if Marine Le Pen wins the election, she is just the reserve of the establishment. Historically, the far-right was always the backup of the establishment when things were going wrong.

So, again, the establishment has tricked the voters, this time in France. With Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen in the second round, it's a win-win situation for it.

  1. Are you sure that Melenchon would not become like Tsipras? The far-right parties in Europe are a trap and not actually a threat for EU and EZone. European left is a circus (Syriza, Podemos, etc.)

    1. No, I can't be sure about anything. We make only estimations. No one knows how things could go. In many cases this blog predicted correctly some major future events, but also in other cases it has been proved wrong. That's because we try to make some level of analysis, not prophecy. Anyway, Melenchon is certainly not Tsipras as a personality and France is certainly not Greece. So, not all the cases are the same. Personally, I believe that only a united European Left in power could bring real change in Europe.

You're analysis is accurate in the sense that the FN was created by socialist Francois Mitterrand to disperse his opponents, center right (known historical fact in France by all politicians and public). The only candidates left by proxy are the ones the oligarchs can control. Francois Fillon must have refused to go along with the programme.

    1. It's glaringly apparent that you believe Sanders, an economic moonbat, was the best choice. The only voters more far removed from Clinton voters are Bernie supporters.

Still. It appears Carlin was right. The whole "choice" thing is an illusion in the end.

Well, how could anyone have known that Trump would be this bad, not only destroying health care and climate change efforts, but also reverse every Obama policy.

we could not have known that. Therefor, we were right to vote Green or stay home.

Stephen Hawking confirms: The problem is Capitalism, not robots!

globinfo freexchange According to world famous physicist Stephen Hawking, the rising use of automated machines may mean the end of human rights – not just jobs. But he’s not talking about robots with artificial intelligence taking over the world, he’s talking about the current capitalist political system and its major players. On Reddit, Hawking said that the economic gap between the rich and the poor will continue to grow as more jobs are automated by machines, and the owners of said machines hoard them to create more wealth for themselves. The insatiable thirst for capitalist accumulation bestowed upon humans by years of lies and terrible economic policy has affected technology in such a way that one of its major goals has become to replace human jobs. If we do not take this warning seriously, we may face unfathomable corporate domination. If we let the same people who buy and sell our political system and resources maintain control of automated technology, the...

Iran could be the US’s Boer war: a hollow victory that marks the beginning of the end of empire

US leaders anticipated a walkover. Now they’re embroiled in a conflict that could hasten the end of US economic dominance  by Larry Elliott   Nobody gave the Boers a prayer when the war in South Africa began in 1899. It was farmers ranged against the might of the British empire, and the expectation was that resistance would quickly crumble. Eventually, might did prevail. Britain won the Boer war, but it was a hollow victory that took the best part of three years to achieve and came at a high cost. The blow to British prestige – coming at a time when its global hegemony was under threat from fast-growing countries such as the US – was severe. Far from highlighting the extent of Britain’s power, it exposed its limitations. A century and a quarter later, the US risks being embroiled in its equivalent of the Boer war. What should have been a walkover threatens to become a prolonged conflict. The Iranians are using guerrilla tactics, just as the Boers did, with much success. There ...

The dominant elite ready to break the "social contract"

Hyper-automation will allow the super-rich to “get rid” of the rest by system failure Since the French revolution and the new form of the urban states-democracies, the ruling class had to make the so-called "social contract" with the majority. From the moment that the dominant urban class took the power from feudalism and monarchy, should had to find a way to protect the means of production and the labor force. Therefore, the ethnic consciousness in each state served to bound the majority in order to shape national armies to protect the ruling class interests. In exchange, the ruling urban class had given the so-called social state, labor rights, etc., through the nation-state as a carrier and guarantor for all these benefits for the middle and lower classes. Since then, there have been a lot of battles and the majority managed to conquer some benefits. At the start of 20th century, the technology progress had brought the mass production. Western s...

Maggie's ghost: What is haunting Europe

by system failure "A ghost is haunting Europe — the ghost of Communism", Marx wrote in the Communist Manifesto, in 1847. He couldn't probably predict that the ghost above Europe in 2013, would have been totally different. Thatcher's dogmatic faith in free market, in minimizing state's presence, was a basic characteristic of her political perception. One could wonder, why the "Iron Lady" silenced in front of the facts during last decade, especially after the global economic crisis. Is it because of her age? Was she believed in the routine motto that "this is just a capitalism's cycle and will recover soon"? Or is it because she finally understood, rather late, that this was not an ideal model of the free market, but the prevail of a peculiar bank-debtocracy? Margaret Thatcher, is a characteristic case of a politician, who's fanatic faith in a specific perception, wouldn't let her see the real picture, what was this per...

Billionaires are social distancing in super yachts as tens of millions lose jobs

Everyday, it becomes clearer: the COVID-19 pandemic is hitting poor, working, and marginalized communities the hardest. Millions of workers – especially low-wage retail, food service, hospitality, and care workers – have faced the terrible choice daily between going to work and risking their health, or staying home and risking their paychecks. Many other workers don’t even have that choice, with around 30 million people in the US filing for unemployment in the past six weeks. But billionaires don’t face these same problems. As tens of millions have lost their jobs over the past two months, billionaire wealth soared by a whopping $282 billion between March 18 and April 10, according to a new study from the Institute for Policy Studies.  And while finding enough space to wait out the pandemic is something many struggle with, billionaires have been escaping to their second (or third, or fourth) homes to ride it out in luxury – all while they position themselves to ...

How Western societies lost their faith in Vision

Why people don't rise up massively today? Why there are no real revolutions? How we tolerate all things that have been imposed to us? These questions come up in people's minds more and more often today in Greece and abroad, due to the economic crisis. Some theories are circulated as an answer, among these, explanations which include, for example, the psychosynthesis of modern Greeks, but the truth is that there is something more fundamental behind this passive behaviour and concerns not only Greece, but the entire Western world. by system failure Prior to the beginning of the 20th century, Friedrich Nietzsche declares God's death and Western world will put all its hopes in science. Laplace's Determinism leads to the almighty man, who through science, can find all the answers for the world. Technology, which naturally comes from scientific discoveries, promises prosperity and a better life for the majority. Science becomes the central "pylon...
