Τα ψυγεία της Νάνσι και οι επικοινωνιακές αθλιότητες μιας χρεοκοπημένης ιδεολογίας


Θύελλα αντιδράσεων προκάλεσε η "συνέντευξη" που έδωσε, εν μέσω πανδημίας, η επικεφαλής της Βουλής των Αντιπροσώπων και "αρχι-βαρόνη" του κόμματος των Δημοκρατικών, Νάνσι Πελόζι, σε έναν από τους ακριβοπληρωμένους αποχαυνωτές των μαζών στα Αμερικανικά μίντια. 

Ο "χρυσοκάνθαρος" διασκεδαστής, James Corden, σε απευθείας σύνδεση, πήρε "συνέντευξη" από την Πελόζι που βρισκόταν στο σπίτι της. Μέσα από ένα αποκρουστικά γλυκανάλατο τετ-α-τετ "αβάσταχτης ελαφρότητας", η Πελόζι άρχισε να λέει πόσο της αρέσει η σοκολάτα και να επιδεικνύει τη συλλογή από σοκολάτες και παγωτά στα πανάκριβα, τιγκαρισμένα ψυγεία της.

Η επικοινωνιακή αυτή αθλιότητα, υποτίθεται ότι στήθηκε για να δείξει το ανθρώπινο πρόσωπο των ανθρώπων της εξουσίας και μάλιστα αυτών που θεωρούνται σήμερα (αν είναι δυνατόν) η Αριστερά στην Αμερική! 

Εν μέσω μιας άνευ προηγουμένου κρίσης, με χιλιάδες νεκρούς από την πανδημία στην Αμερική, με εκατομμύρια να χάνουν τη δουλειά τους χωρίς να ξέρουν τι θα τους ξημερώσει, οι Αντουανέτες του Δημοκρατικού κόμματος θεώρησαν ότι θα ήταν καλό να στήσουν ένα τέτοιο επικοινωνιακό φιάσκο.



Αλλά η παρωδία δεν σταματάει εδώ. 

Το πόσο εκτός τόπου και χρόνου είναι οι μεγαλοβαρόνοι του Δημοκρατικού κόμματος, φάνηκε και από το γεγονός ότι ακόμα και οι Ρεπουμπλικάνοι του Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, εκμεταλλεύτηκαν την επικοινωνιακή τους αθλιότητα και χωρίς να χάσουν χρόνο, έφτιαξαν ένα σποτάκι στο οποίο αντιπαρέθεσαν την απελπισία χιλιάδων Αμερικανών απέναντι στα πανάκριβα ψυγεία της Νάνσι! 

Το σποτάκι τελειώνει με τη φράση "Ας φάνε παγωτό" κατ'αντιστοιχία με το περίφημο "Ας φάνε παντεσπάνι" της Μαρίας Αντουανέτας και με την Πελόζι να υπογράφει ως "Νάνσι Αντουανέτα". 

Το γεγονός εξόργισε γνωστούς προοδευτικούς σχολιαστές όπως ο Kyle Kulinski και ο Jimmy Dore που επιτέθηκαν με σφοδρότητα εναντίον των ανάλγητων νεοφιλελεύθερων του Δημοκρατικού κόμματος, καθώς επέτρεψαν ακόμα και στον ακροδεξιό δημαγωγό Τραμπ να τους επιτεθεί από τα αριστερά! 

Ο Τραμπ, για όσους δεν γνωρίζουν, είναι αυτός που, με το που πήρε την εξουσία, έδωσε άλλο ένα δωράκι δισεκατομμυρίων σε φοροαπαλλαγές υπέρ της οικονομικής ελίτ και ενέκρινε το πρόσφατο νομοσχέδιο με το οποίο ακολουθήθηκε η κλασική νεοφιλελεύθερη συνταγή: πακτωλός δισεκατομμυρίων για τις τράπεζες και τις μεγάλες επιχειρήσεις και κάτι λιγότερο από ψίχουλα για τη μεσαία τάξη. Και όλα αυτά, φυσικά, στο όνομα της αντιμετώπισης των οικονομικών επιπτώσεων από την πανδημία.


Σήμερα, αμφισβητείται έντονα ότι η Μαρία Αντουανέτα είχε πράγματι πει τη φράση «Ας φάνε παντεσπάνι». Και αυτό κάνει τις σύγχρονες Αντουανέτες να φαντάζουν ακόμα χειρότερες. 

Όπως και να'χει, στην εποχή του επάρατου νεοφιλελευθερισμού, οι διάφορες Αντουανέτες βρίσκονται παντού σε αφθονία. Όπως άλλωστε και τα άθλια επικοινωνιακά τους σόου, που επιχειρούν με κόπο να κρύψουν την ραγδαία παρακμή της χρεοκοπημένης τους ιδεολογίας.
