Today, six
years after the 2008 riots in Greece when Alexandros Grigoropoulos, a
15-year-old Greek student, was killed by two policemen in
Exarcheia-Athens (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_Greek_riots),
various demonstrations have been planned all over Greece. Currently,
there is a climate of tension due to the fourth-week hunger strike of
the 21-year-old anarchist, Nikos Romanos, a friend of Grigoropoulos,
convicted for armed robbery. The Piraeus Council of Misdemeanors has
rejected a request by Romanos to be granted leave to attend technical
university.

The center
of Athens is occupied by the police forces, one more time, also due
to the visit of the Turkish leadership in the Greek capital. At the
same time, several Syrian refugees remain at the Syntagma square,
protesting, as they've been trapped in Greece and they cannot travel
to other European countries to join relatives.
According to
some information, a Syrian refugee lost his life after an attempt to
cross the Greek-Albanian borders. Desperate, as being trapped twelve
days in Athens, the 50-year old doctor decided to travel to north
Greece with 30 more people. He died after trying to cross a river.
Another Syrian is currently at the hospital in critical condition
suffering from brain cancer.

Meanwhile,
the political bargain for the February elections, continues

Some independent MPs requested a new "agreement" between
the government and the opposition to extend government's life until
the end of 2015, after the new President of the Republic will be
elected, and go then for national elections.
Apparently,
the system has been mobilized to expand, as much as possible, current
government's life, in order to take the desirable measures according
to Troika orders. Troika lenders insist on the most cruel measures,
further cuts in pensions and wages because the experiment goals have
not fulfilled yet and because they fear that may lose control in case
of a radical political change, not only in Greece, but in Europe too.

"Robotic",
cold-blood and cynical neoliberal bureaucrats in Greece and abroad,
as well as, far-Right inflexible components of the government, don't
understand that the mixture is very explosive and a spark could
trigger an uncontrolled situation. Romanos' life hangs by a thread
and they don't seem to understand what may happen in case that this
thread will be broken.
