Πόσα «πραξικοπήματα» απαιτούνται ώστε να επιβληθεί η οικονομική κυριαρχία του Βερολίνου και η λειτουργία της ευρωζώνης; Η συνήθης απάντηση είναι: Οσα και οι χώρες στις οποίες πρέπει να επιβληθεί μνημόνιο. Μόνο που σε ορισμένες περιπτώσεις αυτά τα πραξικοπήματα είναι… διπλά

«Στη χώρα μου πραγματοποιήθηκαν δύο πραξικοπήματα. Ενα εσωτερικό και ένα εξωτερικό». Η φράση ανήκει στον πρώην πρόεδρο της Κύπρου, Δημήτρη Χριστόφια. Για την ακρίβεια ήταν οι πρώτες λέξεις που άρθρωσε στη μεγάλη συνέντευξη που μας παραχώρησε για τα γυρίσματα του ντοκιμαντέρ This is a coup που αναμένεται να ολοκληρωθεί το επόμενο εξάμηνο.

Το παράδοξο είναι ότι σχεδόν με την ίδια φράση απαντούν οι συνεντευξιαζόμενοι σε όλες τις χώρες που επισκεφθήκαμε τις τελευταίες εβδομάδες. Εάν ο Χριστόφιας αναφέρεται στον ρόλο της κεντρικής τράπεζας της Κύπρου αλλά και τμημάτων της οικονομικής ελίτ της χώρας, στην Ιταλία μάς μιλούσαν για το «προεδρικό πραξικόπημα» του Τζόρτζιο Ναπολιτάνο, που έφερε στην εξουσία τον τεχνοκράτη Μάριο Μόντι.

Σαν μακρινός απόηχος εκείνης της ιστορίας ακούστηκε πριν από μερικές εβδομάδες και η απόπειρα του προέδρου της Πορτογαλίας να αποτρέψει τον σχηματισμό νέας κυβέρνησης στην οποία θα συμμετείχαν και αντιμνημονιακές δυνάμεις της Αριστεράς.

Σε κάθε περίπτωση οι δράστες είναι σχεδόν πάντα οι ίδιοι: ένας κεντρικός τραπεζίτης που εργάζεται για τα συμφέροντα της ευρωζώνης και όχι της χώρας του, ένας πρόθυμος, ή έστω άβουλος, πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας που διευκολύνει την εκτροπή, μερικοί ολιγάρχες, οι οποίοι μέσα από τα ΜΜΕ που ελέγχουν «υπόσχονται» τον όλεθρο σε περίπτωση επιστροφής σε εθνικό νόμισμα, και πάντα η ΕΚΤ, η οποία αναλαμβάνει να προκαλέσει ασφυξία ρευστότητας στο τραπεζικό σύστημα απαιτώντας να εφαρμοστούν κατά γράμμα οι οικονομικές εντολές του Βερολίνου. Κάθε οικονομικό πραξικόπημα έχει τη δική του μυθιστορηματική ιστορία.

Ο στόχος όμως παραμένει ο ίδιος. Και ίσως το δικό μας καθήκον να είναι να παραφράσουμε μια παλαιότερη γνωστή φράση του Πιερ Πάολο Παζολίνι που σήμερα κοσμεί σαν γκράφιτι τους τοίχους της Ρώμης: «Ξέρω τα ονόματα των υπευθύνων του λεγόμενου πραξικοπήματος – στην πραγματικότητα των συστημικών πραξικοπημάτων που γίνονται για τη διάσωση της εξουσίας».

Οσο για την Ελλάδα… εδώ έρχονται οι μεγάλες αποκαλύψεις που θα μας επιτρέψετε να μην παρουσιάσουμε μέχρι την ολοκλήρωση του νέου μας ντοκιμαντέρ.

Οι παραγωγοί των ντοκιμαντέρ Debtocracy, Catastroika και Φασισμός Α.Ε. επιστρέφουμε στον τόπο του εγκλήματος συνομιλώντας με πολιτικούς, οικονομολόγους και δημοσιογράφους που βρέθηκαν στην πρώτη γραμμή των «πραξικοπημάτων». Ξεκινήσαμε από τη Φρανκφούρτη για να φτάσουμε στην Αθήνα μέσω Λευκωσίας, Ρώμης, Λισαβόνας, Δουβλίνου και αρκετών ακόμη ευρωπαϊκών πόλεων.

Για άλλη μια φορά η παραγωγή στηρίζεται στους ίδιους τους θεατές, που μπορούν να ενισχύσουν οικονομικά την προσπάθεια μέσω paypal ή τραπεζικού λογαριασμού που θα βρουν στη σελίδα tiac.gr.

Οπως διαπιστώσαμε από όλες τις προηγούμενες παραγωγές, το λεγόμενο crowd-funding, η κάλυψη δηλαδή των εξόδων παραγωγής από το κοινό, είναι συχνά η μοναδική εγγύηση για την απόλυτη ανεξαρτησία ενός ντοκιμαντέρ – ειδικά αν θέλεις να αναφέρεσαι σε ονόματα τραπεζιτών, μεγάλων επιχειρήσεων και πολιτικών.

Προφανώς ένα ντοκιμαντέρ που χρηματοδοτείται από τους θεατές ανήκει δικαιωματικά σε αυτούς. Το This is a coup λοιπόν θα διανέμεται δωρεάν μέσω του Ιντερνετ ύστερα από μια σύντομη περίοδο στην οποία θα προβάλλεται σε φεστιβάλ και σε επιλεγμένες αίθουσες, που στάθηκαν στο πλευρό μας σε όλες τις προηγούμενες προβολές.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on.
