Despite
the sirens around them, the euro-clowns still live in their own
world. They believe that they can get away with it. That they can
fool people forever. Well, it won't happen. Europe has already
entered the path of no return. When they will realize what's really
happening, it will be too late.
Statements
from the European political establishment after Rutte's victory, show
that the puppets of the bankers and lobbyists are completely detached
from reality and from the European people. The statements
of relief by Merkel and Schulz, expose their high
anxiety about the possibility of losing one of Germany's most
faithful satellites in the hard-core of the sado-monetarist prison of
eurozone.
All the
mainstream media of the plutocrats together with their puppets, i.e.
the current European political establishment, nearly celebrated,
giving the impression that Rutte's victory is an approval of current
Europe by the Dutch people, as well as, by the European people.
First of
all, little reference made to the fact that Rutte
lost power compared to the previous elections (8
seats less), while the leader of the Far-Right, Geert Wilders,
actually gained 5 seats. Also, especially after the final results,
everyone forgot that Rutte managed to hold the first position thanks
to the show that gave together with Recep Tayyip Erdogan right before the election.
The European
establishment mechanisms obviously panicked seeing Wilders leading
the race until the last minute and tried to present the hard victory
of Rutte as an approval of current Europe by the Dutch people. The
mainstream media presented the result as an issue concerning
exclusively the rejection of Far-Right extreme rhetoric and politics,
while in reality, the Dutch people gave priority in other issues like
labor rights, welfare state, which the neoliberal establishment is
trying to eliminate across Europe. Probably the best proof for this
argument, is the impressive rise of the GreenLeft that gained 10
seats. Yet, little mention was made about this significant success
since the epicenter of the election was the fight between Rutte and
Wilders.
Furhtermore,
the Labour Party suffered a devastated loss of 29 seats (!) compared
to the previous elections. Recall that Jeroen Dijsselbloem, member of
the party, participated as Minister of Finance in the previous Rutte
cabinet. Dijsselbloem, is one of the most devoted to the current
neoliberal status. Being also president of the eurogroup and
president of the Board of Governors of the European Stability
Mechanism (ESM) he followed faithfully the German hard stance against
Greece, joined the close team of people who forced the country
towards the path of hell that destroyed the Greek economy since the
beginning of the crisis, in order to save the Franco-German banks.
Such kind of
'details' simply ignored by the mainstream media because they want to
present every Pyrrhic victory of their favorite politicians as an
approval by the citizens of the current status.
Similarly,
the Brexit vote was attributed exclusively to the voters attracted by
the nationalists who grow the racism and xenophobia, while in
reality, Brexit prevailed due to a critical mass of voters, even of
progressive origins, who wanted to protest against what Europe has
become: a corrupted empire taken over by the bankers and lobbyists
who dictate their own interests against the vast majority of the
European people.
Yanis
Varoufakis supported recently
that he made thirteen speeches in thirteen cities of England, Wales
and Scotland, against Brexit. He had thousands of people in the
audience. In every place he went, people told him that they agree
with most of what he pointed. Yet, the central argument by them was
'how is it possible to vote for the UK to remain in the EU, seeing
the way that Brussels and Frankfurt treated Greece?'

Yes, the results are due to disillusionment with the "left" (pvda), plus a hope & change campaign by GL, which got most of its voters from the pvda, plus the erdogan pissing contest.
ReplyDeleteBut fiscally conservative, "Pro-EU" parties got 70% of the vote (and note that that includes a fair share of the PvdA, which mostly represents yuppie interests as well). So long-term, this outcome will only contribute to the EU's demise, because more can-kicking, more denial, more austerity.
