«Γλυκιά Ευρώπη» και «γλυκιά λογοκρισία»

Για πρώτη φορά μια έκθεση γελοιογραφίας προκαλεί την οξύτατη αντίδραση του αστικού Τύπου

ΔΗΜΗΤΡΗΣ ΤΖΙΑΝΤΖΗΣ

Εκτός από την ωμή, την απροκάλυπτη λογοκρισία, υπάρχει και η βελούδινη. Αυτή εκφράζεται με τη μορφή δημοσιευμάτων και διαρροών, όπως ακριβώς συνέβη με την έκθεση της Λέσχης Ελλήνων Γελοιογράφων που παρουσιάστηκε στο σταθμό του μετρό του Συντάγματος. Η έκθεση αυτή τελεί υπό την αιγίδα της Βουλής, της Περιφέρειας Αττικής, της ΣΤΑΣΥ και του Μορφωτικού Ιδρύματος της ΕΣΗΕΑ.

Στην έκθεση, που ολοκληρώθηκε την περασμένη Κυριακή, συμμετείχαν 57 γελοιογράφοι, μεταξύ των οποίων και ο συνεργάτης του Πριν Βασίλης Παπαγεωργίου με τέσσερα σκίτσα. Από τη Λέσχη Ελλήνων Γελοιογράφων συμμετείχαν οι Τάσος Αναστασίου, Κώστας Βλάχος, Δημήτρης Γεωργοπάλης, Κώστας Γρηγοριάδης, Σπύρος Δερβενιώτης, Dranis, Πάνος Ζάχαρης, Πέτρος Ζερβός, John Antono, Γιάννης Ιωάννου, Μιχάλης Κουντούρης, Ηλίας Μακρής, Πάνος Μαραγκός, Παναγιτης Μήλας, Βασίλης Μητρόπουλος (Bas.), Κώστας Μητρόπουλος, Παναγιώτης Μητσομπόνος, Έφη Ξένου, Σπύρος Ορνεράκης, Βασίλης Παπαγεωργίου, Βαγγέλης Παυλίδης, Ανδρέας Πετρουλάκης, Κωνσταντίνος Ρουγγέρης, Soloup, Soter, Στάθης (Σταυρόπουλος), Μαρία Τζαμπούρα, Δημήτρης Χαντζόπουλος, Βαγγέλης Χερουβείμ.

Συνολικά εκτέθηκαν περίπου 160 σκίτσα.

Θέμα της έκθεσης η Ευρώπη. Και καθώς πολλά σκίτσα δεν είναι ιδιαίτερα κολακευτικά για τη σημερινή κατάσταση της Ευρώπης, δύο πολιτικές εφημερίδες, έσπευσαν να επικρίνουν την έκθεση, η καθεμιά με τον τρόπο της.

Και τα δύο δημοσιεύματα εμφανίστηκαν ταυτόχρονα, τρεις μέρες μετά τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης. Ο Σ. Κασιμάτης της Καθημερινής αναρωτιέται αν «είναι αυτό το πράγμα γελοιογραφία ή προπαγανδιστική αφίσα». Υποστηρίζει ότι τα «περισσότερα εκθέματα […] εκφράζουν τον χοντροκομμένο και επιθετικό αντιευρωπαϊσμό της άκρας Αριστεράς, την οποία στις μέρες μας τη λέμε “ριζοσπαστική”, για λόγους πολιτικής ορθότητας». Επίσης χαρακτηρίζει «άγνωστους», «αποτυχημένους» και «περιθωριακούς» τους γελοιογράφους που συμμετέχουν στην έκθεση, αν και ανάμεσά τους συγκαταλέγονται και οι σκιτσογράφοι της δικής του εφημερίδας, αλλά και οι σημαντικότεροι ομότεχνοί τους από την Ελλάδα και τη Μεγάλη Βρετανία.

Σύμφωνα με τον Α.Α. Αθανασόπουλο του Βήματος, η έκθεση αυτή έχει προκαλέσει «σοβαρή ενόχληση και αρνητική έκπληξη» σε στελέχη της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής στις Βρυξέλλες και στην Αθήνα, με τα οποία προφανώς συνομίλησε ο αρθρογράφος, εκτός και αν μάντεψε μέσω τηλεπάθειας τα δυσάρεστα συναισθήματά τους. Μα αν πράγματι εξέφρασαν δυσαρέσκεια, τότε καταρρίπτεται ο μύθος περί της Ευρώπης της ανοχής. Κατά τη γνώμη του, εδώ η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση «ταυτίζεται με τη ναζιστική Γερμανία». Η έκθεση, συνεχίζει, συγκρίνει την Ευρώπη με τους ναζί, «καθώς σε πολλές από τις γελοιογραφίες κυριαρχεί η σβάστικα, ενώ τουλάχιστον σε μία εκ των γελοιογραφιών η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση παρομοιάζεται με λεκάνη τουαλέτας, στον πάτο της οποίας βρίσκονται πλέον έννοιες όπως η πολυπολιτισμικότητα, η αλληλεγγύη, η διαφορετικότητα και η ελεύθερη διακίνηση των ιδεών». Η έκθεση αυτή έρχεται «σε κακή χρονική στιγμή, εν μέσω των διαπραγματεύσεων για την ολοκλήρωση της δεύτερης αξιολόγησης».

Κατά το παρελθόν έχουν γίνει και άλλες παρόμοιες εκθέσεις όμως για πρώτη φορά προκλήθηκε τέτοια χολερική αντίδραση. Και για πρώτη φορά στα χρονικά η ένωσή τους αναγκάστηκε να εκδώσει ανακοίνωση που εξηγεί τα αυτονόητα, δηλαδή ότι στην έκθεση «συνυπάρχουν και “συνομιλούν” σκίτσα που απορρίπτουν συνολικά την ΕΕ και την πολιτική της, μαζί με σκίτσα ενάντια στο Brexit και σε κάθε είδους… exit». Δεκάδες χιλιάδες άνθρωποι έχουν επισκεφθεί την έκθεση, ενώ θετικά έως ενθουσιώδη είναι τα σχόλια στο βιβλίο επισκεπτών.

Προφανώς το «Je suis Charlie» έχει τα όριά του. Η πολιτική γελοιογραφία, όπως και η πολιτική σάτιρα στην επιθεώρηση και την τηλεόραση, δεν μπορεί παρά να βρίσκεται απέναντι στα κυρίαρχα ιδεολογήματα και τις πρακτικές της εξουσίας. Αλλιώς, όταν εξωραϊζει την υπάρχουσα κατάσταση, χάνει τη νοστιμιά της. Η συντονισμένη επίθεση κατά του αντι-ευρωπαϊκών αιχμών της έκθεσης δείχνει αφενός ότι οι επικριτές της ζουν σε μια γυάλα, αποκομμένοι από την κοινωνία, και αφετέρου δείχνει τη δύναμη και την απήχηση που έχει το πενάκι ή μάλλον το μαρκαδοράκι του γελοιογράφου.
