Top 10 των «δημοσιογραφικών» θεωριών συνωμοσίας για τη Ρωσία

Ο Αμερικανός δημοσιογράφος Ματ Ταΐμπι υποστήριξε πρόσφατα ότι η προπαγάνδα των ΜΜΕ περί της υποτιθέμενης παρέμβασης της Μόσχας στην πολιτική ζωή των ΗΠΑ αποτελεί το χαμηλότερο σημείο της αμερικανικής δημοσιογραφίας από την εποχή που κατηγορούσαν τον Σαντάμ Χουσεΐν για τα όπλα μαζικής καταστροφής. Μήπως όμως είναι το χαμηλότερο σημείο από δημιουργίας αμερικανικού κράτους;

H Ρέιτσελ Μάντοου μιλούσε με δυσκολία εξαιτίας ενός κόμπου στο λαιμό. Κάποιοι μάλιστα ισχυρίζονται ότι την είδαν να δακρύζει. Η διασημότερη παρουσιάστρια του δικτύου MSNBC είχε μόλις πληροφορηθεί στον αέρα το πόρισμα της εισαγγελικής έρευνας που κατέρριπτε τις θεωρίες ότι ο πρόεδρος Τραμπ συνεργαζόταν (κάποιοι είπαν ελεγχόταν από) τον Βλαντίμιρ Πούτιν. Η Μάντοου όμως είχε αφιερώσει τα τελευταία δυόμισι χρόνια της ζωής της, ώστε να παρουσιάζει κάθε θεωρία συνωμοσίας που κυκλοφορούσε στις ΗΠΑ για την προσπάθεια της Μόσχας να καθυποτάξει τον… ελεύθερο κόσμο.

Η ειδησεογραφική «μονοκαλλιέργεια» της εκπομπής της είχε εκτινάξει την τηλεθέαση του δικτύου (μαζί με τον μισθό της) στα ουράνια. Παράλληλα όμως είχε αφήσει στο απυρόβλητο την πραγματικά καταστροφική πολιτική του Ντόναλντ Τραμπ σε σειρά πολύ σοβαρών θεμάτων. Και η Μάντοου ήταν μόνο μία από τους εκατοντάδες δημοσιογράφους που έπαιξαν αυτό το παιχνίδι.

Η αμερικανική δημοσιογραφία γνώρισε τόσο σκοτεινές ημέρες που θα μπορούσαν να συγκριθούν μόνο με το κυνήγι μαγισσών στα χρόνια του Μακαρθισμού. Η εξάπλωση όμως των ΜΜΕ και η ταχύτητα μετάδοσης ανεπιβεβαίωτων και ψευδών πληροφοριών επιβεβαίωσε τους χειρότερους εφιάλτες του Όργουελ και του Κάφκα.

Προσπαθώντας να επιλέξουμε τις δέκα καλύτερες θεωρίες συνωμοσίας που μεταδόθηκαν από κυρίαρχα μέσα ενημέρωσης, αναγκαστήκαμε να παραλείψουμε δεκάδες υποθέσεις που ανταγωνίζονται σε «σοβαρότητα» τις απόψεις των οπαδών της… επίπεδης Γης. Περιορίσαμε επίσης τις αναφορές σε αμερικανικά ΜΜΕ, παρά το γεγονός ότι ανάλογα fake news μεταδίδονταν και από κυρίαρχα ευρωπαϊκά ΜΜΕ όπως το BBC, η El Pais κ.ά.

Έχουμε λοιπόν και λέμε. Η Ρωσία:

- Εισέβαλε στο ηλεκτρικό δίκτυο για να κλείσει τη θέρμανση στους κατοίκους του Βερμόντ (Washington Post)

H αμερικανική εφημερίδα υποστήριξε αρχικά ότι χάκερ της Ρωσίας τοποθέτησαν κακόβουλο λογισμικό (malware) στους υπολογιστές του δικτύου ηλεκτροδότησης του Βερμόντ. Τελικά αποδείχτηκε ότι το malware δεν συνδέονταν με τη Ρωσία και εντοπίστηκε σε ένα λάπτοπ που δεν σχετιζόταν με το δίκτυο ηλεκτρισμού του Βερμόντ.

- Κούφανε Αμερικανούς διπλωμάτες με ηλεκτρομαγνητικά όπλα (NBC/MSNBC)

Δύο από τα μεγαλύτερα τηλεοπτικά δίκτυα των ΗΠΑ υποστήριξαν ότι κατά πάσα πιθανότητα η Ρωσία βρισκόταν πίσω από τις επιθέσεις με «εξελιγμένα μικροκύματα και άλλα είδη ηλεκτρομαγνητικών όπλων», τα οποία προκαλούσαν εγκεφαλικές βλάβες και απώλεια ακοής στο προσωπικό της διπλωματικής αποστολής των ΗΠΑ στην Αβάνα. Επιστήμονες υποστήριξαν αργότερα ότι οι ήχοι που άκουγαν οι διπλωμάτες οφείλονταν σε… τριζόνια.

- Οργάνωσε την αποστολή εκρηκτικών μηχανισμών σε υποψηφίους των Δημοκρατικών (MSNBC)

Κεντρικός παρουσιαστής του MSNBC υποστήριζε ότι το FBI πρέπει να ερευνήσει τον ρόλο της Ρωσίας στην αποστολή αυτοσχέδιων εκρηκτικών μηχανισμών σε γνωστά στελέχη του Δημοκρατικού Κόμματος. Το ομοσπονδιακό γραφείο ερευνών όμως κατέταξε την υπόθεση στα περιστατικά εσωτερικής τρομοκρατίας και συνέλαβε τον Cesar Altieri Sayoc Jr, ο οποίος ομολόγησε την πράξη.

- Μετέτρεψε το χιούμορ σε όπλο (CNN)

Οταν οι ρωσικές πρεσβείες σε ΗΠΑ και Βρετανία αντέδρασαν με χιουμοριστικά memes στην απέλαση Ρώσων διπλωματών, το CNN έκρινε ότι βρίσκεται σε εξέλιξη μια «καλά οργανωμένη επιχείρηση τρολαρίσματος» με στόχο να «μετατρέψουν το χιούμορ σε όπλο για σκοπούς προπαγάνδας».

- Πυροδότησε φυλετικές συγκρούσεις ενισχύοντας την οργή του μαύρου πληθυσμού (Slate)

Το ηλεκτρονικό περιοδικό Slate ανέλαβε να συνοψίσει όλες τις θεωρίες ότι από τη δεκαετία του ’30 οι Σοβιετικοί και σήμερα οι Ρώσοι υπερπροβάλλουν την κατάσταση των ανθρώπινων δικαιωμάτων των μαύρων στις ΗΠΑ, για να προκαλέσουν κοινωνική αναταραχή και συγκρούσεις στους δρόμους.

- Δολοφόνησε τον Ουκρανό δημοσιογράφο Αρκάντι Μπαμπτσένκο (σχεδόν όλα τα ΜΜΕ)

Σχεδόν το σύνολο των δυτικών ΜΜΕ δημοσίευσε την είδηση της «δολοφονίας» του Ουκρανού δημοσιογράφου Αρκάντι Μπαμπτσένκο, ενώ Αμερικανοί δημοσιογράφοι κατηγόρησαν ευθέως τη Ρωσία. Ο Μπαμπτσένκο «νεκραναστήθηκε» μία ημέρα αργότερα και αποκάλυψε ότι τη «δολοφονία» του είχαν σκηνοθετήσει οι μυστικές υπηρεσίες της Ουκρανίας.

- Χειραγώγησε το δημοψήφισμα για την ανεξαρτησία της Καταλονίας (Bloomberg)

Πλειοδοτώντας σε παραπληροφόρηση το δίκτυο Bloomberg ανέφερε ότι «η Μόσχα είχε για χρόνια επαφές» με τους πολιτικούς που ζητούν την ανεξαρτησία της Καταλονίας. Το άρθρο επιχείρησε να εμπλέξει στην υπόθεση και τον δημιουργό τού Wikileaks, Τζούλιαν Ασάνζ, αλλά και τον Εντουαρντ Σνόουντεν γιατί τα tweets τους «απηχούσαν τη στρατηγική της Ρωσίας για την Καταλονία». Προκειμένου να αποτρέψει την «παρέμβαση από το εξωτερικό», συμπλήρωνε το Bloomberg, «ο Ραχόι αναγκάστηκε να προχωρήσει σε μέτρα σκληρής καταστολής».

- Προώθησε το Brexit (New York Times)

H εφημερίδα έκανε λόγο για «ισχυρές ενδείξεις ρωσικής προσπάθειας να χρησιμοποιηθούν τα social media για να χειραγωγήσουν τη βρετανική πολιτική σκηνή, όπως έκαναν και στις ΗΠΑ, τη Γαλλία και αλλού».

- Στήριζε το κίνημα υπέρ και κατά των εμβολίων (New York Times)

Ρώσοι χάκερ (που η εφημερίδα είχε εξηγήσει πολλές φορές για ποιους δουλεύουν) έστελναν μηνύματα υπέρ της ανάγκης εμβολιασμού των παιδιών και άλλα με τα οποία στήριζαν το αντι-εμβολιαστικό κίνημα. Στόχος, σύμφωνα με την εφημερίδα, να τους βάζουν να… τσακώνονται με μεγαλύτερη ένταση.

- Προωθούσε μηνύματα ότι ο Χριστός μισεί τη Χίλαρι Κλίντον (New York Times)

H ναυαρχίδα του αμερικανικού φιλελευθερισμού υποστήριξε ότι η Ρωσία (ούτε καν Ρώσοι χάκερ) προωθούσαν στο διαδίκτυο memes με τον Χριστό να μάχεται τον Σατανά και διευκρίνιζαν ότι ο τελευταίος υποστηρίζει τη Χίλαρι Κλίντον.

Κρίνοντας από το αποτέλεσμα των εκλογών… ο Σατανάς ηττήθηκε.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that.
