Plan Cóndor 2.0: Tras el golpe en Bolivia, Trump declara a Nicaragua ‘amenaza a su seguridad nacional’ y apunta hacia México

Luego de presidir el golpe en Bolivia, los Estados Unidos declararon a Nicaragua como una “amenaza a la seguridad nacional” anunciando nuevas sanciones, al mismo tiempo que Trump designó a los carteles del narcotráfico en México como “terroristas” sin descartar una intervención militar.

Al parecer, un golpe exitoso contra un presidente socialista elegido democráticamente no es suficiente.

Inmediatamente después de supervisar un golpe de extrema derecha en Bolivia el 10 de noviembre, la administración Trump pone su mirada, una vez más, sobre Nicaragua, cuyo gobierno sandinista (democráticamente electo) derrotó un violento intento de golpe en 2018.

Washington designó a Nicaragua como una amenaza a la seguridad nacional de los Estados Unidos, y anunció que ampliará sus sanciones asfixiantes contra la pequeña nación centroamericana.

Trump también aumenta la temperatura en México, vinculando sin base alguna al país con el terrorismo, incluso sugiriendo una potencial intervención militar. Estos movimientos se manifiestan luego de que el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador advierte sobre los intentos de un golpe de estado de la derecha.

Al igual que Colombia, Brasil, Chile y Ecuador (los aliados de Washington), están desesperados por derrotar los masivos alzamientos populares contra las políticas de austeridad neoliberal y la enorme brecha de desigualdad, los Estados Unidos aumentan las agresiones contra los gobiernos progresistas todavía en pie.

Estos movimientos han llevado a las fuerzas de izquierda en América Latina a alertar sobre el resurgimiento de una Operación Cóndor del siglo XXI: la violenta y velada campaña de la Guerra Fría con el apoyo de los Estados Unidos en toda la región.
