Γεγονότα εντελώς διαφορετικά, με ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά το καθένα, από διαφορετικές περιόδους, έγιναν λιώμα από τον ολετήρα της νεοφιλελεύθερης λογικής. Έτσι, για παράδειγμα, η συμφορά της Κύπρου και το ΟΧΙ στο δημοψήφισμα, εξισώνονται - από που και ως που; τι σχέση έχουν; - κάτω από το "ανεπίτρεπτο", με βάση τη νεοφιλελέ λογική, "θράσος" ενός λαού να έχει τον πρώτο λόγο για το μέλλον του, να αντιστέκεται στη συστηματική του εξόντωση, είτε μέσα από έναν κανονικό, είτε μέσα από έναν οικονομικό πόλεμο.

Η τεράστια, βέβαια, αντίφαση, η οποία είναι απόλυτα εμφανής και στο παρόν άρθρο, έγκειται στο γεγονός ότι η νεοφιλελέ λογική προσδιορίζει πάντα το "εμείς", με βάση κυρίως τα εθνικά χαρακτηριστικά, πράγμα που είναι αντίθετο στην τελική επιδίωξη του νεοφιλελεύθερου διεθνισμού: τη διάλυση των εθνών-κρατών και την απόλυτη κυριαρχία των αγορών. Την ολοκληρωτική επικράτηση της νέας Φεουδαρχίας των τραπεζών και των πολυεθνικών. Πράγμα που δείχνει, ότι χρησιμοποιεί οτιδήποτε μπορεί, το παραμορφώνει και στη συνέχεια το πολτοποιεί, προκειμένου να αφαιρέσει από πάνω του κάθε ιδεολογικό και πατριωτικό ψήγμα.

Άραγε τι είχε στο νου του ο Γκάτσος όταν έλεγε "Πότε θα ανθίσουν τούτοι οι τόποι; Πότε θα ρθουν καινούργιοι ανθρώποι να συνοδεύσουν τη βλακεία στην τελευταία της κατοικία;"

Μήπως ότι ο λαός πρέπει να σκύβει το κεφάλι και να δέχεται όλα όσα του επιβάλλουν τα κέντρα αποφάσεων που βρίσκονται αλλού; Μήπως ότι πρέπει να πάψει να αγωνίζεται; Ή μήπως ότι πρέπει να αποδέχεται τη διάλυση δημοκρατικών θεσμών για χάρη της "θαυμαστής" ένωσης των λόμπι και των τραπεζιτών; Σίγουρα όχι, αλλά και ο Γκάτσος μπορεί να παραμορφωθεί και τελικά να ισοπεδωθεί κάτω από την νεοφιλελεύθερη μπότα που θέλει πολίτες "σώφρονες" και "ορθολογιστές". Δηλαδή πολίτες που να μην υπερασπίζονται τα δικαιώματά τους, τα οποία συνθλίβονται καθημερινά από τον νεοφιλελεύθερο ολετήρα. Πολίτες γαλουχημένοι με το 'There Is No Alternative' της μαμάς Θάτσερ.

Δεν χρειάζεται να ανησυχείτε. Το σύστημα παράγει πλέον σε μεγάλες ποσότητες "εξελιγμένα" μοντέλα γενεών που δεν είχαν την ατυχία να γνωρίσουν τον "διαβολικό" κομμουνισμό. Που δεν ξέρουν τίποτε άλλο από τον "παράδεισο" της υποτιθέμενης ελεύθερης αγοράς. Ήδη παρακαλάν γονυπετείς σε ατέλειωτες ουρές τους "ευεργέτες" εργοδότες για ένα κομμάτι ψωμί. Οι πολίτες, ακριβώς έτσι όπως τους θέλετε, "σώφρονες", "ορθολογιστές", μη διακατεχόμενους από τη "βλακεία" να απαιτούν με "θράσος" τα δικαιώματά τους, είναι ήδη εδώ. Και σύντομα θα έχετε τον "θαυμαστό καινούργιο κόσμο" σας, ακριβώς έτσι όπως τον ονειρεύεστε.
