Η κοσμογονία του Μπέρνι Σάντερς προελαύνει!

Παρά τη συνωμοσία σιωπής και παραπληροφόρησης

Προσοχή, αυτό που συμβαίνει με τον Μπέρνι Σάντερς, το κίνημά του και τις αμερικανικές προκριματικές εκλογές ίσως να μην έχει προηγούμενο στην ιστορία της παραπληροφόρησης και της πλύσης εγκεφάλου των πολιτών από μέρους των καθεστωτικών ΜΜΕ! Και όχι μόνο στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες αλλά σε ολάκερο τον πλανήτη!...

Εξηγούμεθα αρχίζοντας με ένα παράδειγμα από την πιο «καυτή» επικαιρότητα: Στις αρχές αυτού του μήνα και επί μερικές μέρες, η είδηση από τις ΗΠΑ που κυριαρχούσε στα παγκόσμια ΜΜΕ, και φυσικά και στην Ελλάδα, ήταν το οικτρό τέλος του γορίλα στο Σινσινάτι. Στο ίδιο όμως χρονικό διάστημα, ο Μπέρνι Σάντερς πρωταγωνιστούσε στα εξής γεγονότα που αποσιωπήθηκαν εντελώς από όλα τα ΜΜΕ όλων των χωρών του κόσμου: Συγκέντρωνε τεράστια πλήθη (πολλές δεκάδες χιλιάδες) στις συγκεντρώσεις του σε μια ντουζίνα πόλεων της Καλιφόρνια, σπάζοντας κάθε ιστορικό ρεκόρ λαϊκής συμμετοχής σε προεκλογικές εκδηλώσεις στ​ις ΗΠΑ​. Συνέτριβε τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ σε όλες τις δημοσκοπήσεις που δημοσιεύτηκαν εκείνες τις μέρες, με διαφορές που πάντα ξεπερνούσαν τις 10 ποσοστιαίες μονάδες. Ανακοίνωνε –για πολλοστή φορά- ότι θα συνέχιζε τη μάχη του μέχρι τέλους και ότι θα διεκδικούσε το χρίσμα του Δημοκρατικού κόμματος στο τελικό Συνέδριό του στη Φιλαδέλφεια στα τέλη Ιουλίου. Και τέλος, έφτανε και ξεπερνούσε την παραπαίουσα Χίλαρι στις δημοσκοπήσεις για την αναμέτρησή τους στην Καλιφόρνια, ενώ μόλις πριν από ένα μήνα, αυτές οι δημοσκοπήσεις έφερναν την Χίλαρι να προηγείται ακόμα και με 18%.

Για όλα αυτά και για πάρα πολλά άλλα γεγονότα και εξελίξεις εκείνων των ημερών -που μπορούν να επηρεάσουν ή και να καθορίσουν το παρόν και το μέλλον της παγκόσμιας υπερδύναμης και ολόκληρου του κόσμου και του πλανήτη- δεν μάθατε το παραμικρό. Μηδέν. Απόλυτη σιωπή. Τα ΜΜΕ τα έκριναν …ανάξια λόγου και συνέχισαν απτόητα να μας μιλάνε είτε για τον γορίλα του Σινσινάτι είτε για την αναμέτρηση Χίλαρι-Τραμπ, αφήνοντας τεχνηέντως να εννοηθεί ότι τα πάντα έχουν τελειώσει, ότι τώρα έχουμε περάσει στα σοβαρά ζητήματα καθώς εκείνος ο «γραφικός» ασπρομάλλης «σοσιαλιστής» από το Βερμόντ είναι πια μακρινό παρελθόν. Όμως, το ίδιο ακριβώς δεν έχουν βαρεθεί να λένε εδώ και τουλάχιστον 3 μήνες, και θα το πουν και πάλι λίγο πριν ανοίξουν οι κάλπες στην Καλιφόρνια. Παρόλα αυτά, ο «γραφικός» ασπρομάλλης σοσιαλιστής όχι μόνο είναι πάντα εδώ αλλά και υπόσχεται έναν άκρως συναρπαστικό αντίλογο μέσα και έξω από το συνέδριο (Convention) του Δημοκρατικού κόμματος στα τέλη Ιουλίου, μαζί με αρκετές εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες υποστηρικτές του!

Ε λοιπόν, ο Μπέρνι όχι μόνο δεν είναι παρελθόν αλλά είναι και η ενσάρκωση του παρόντος και του μέλλοντος! Και για να έχουμε καλό ρώτημα ιδού ευθύς αμέσως ένα παράδειγμα με τη μορφή απορίας: Γιατί μας μιλάνε αποκλειστικά και μόνο για τη Χίλαρι και τον Τραμπ, ενώ σύμφωνα με όλες τις (αμέτρητες) δημοσκοπήσεις είναι και οι δυο τους οι πιο μισητοί –από τους συμπατριώτες τους- πολιτικοί των ΗΠΑ; Γιατί μας ζαλίζουν με αυτούς τους δυο που –πράγμα πρωτοφανές- έχουν να παρουσιάσουν μόνο αρνητικά ρεκόρ δημοτικότητας στη χώρα τους και ενώ πρόσφατη δημοσκόπηση δείχνει ότι το 47% των Αμερικανών (!) σκέφτεται σοβαρά να ψηφίσει υπέρ ενός «Τρίτου κόμματος» τον προσεχή Νοέμβρη; Και γιατί αποσιωπούν πλήρως το γεγονός ότι ο Μπέρνι είναι –μακράν- ο πιο δημοφιλής, εκείνος που συγκεντρώνει τις (ενθουσιώδεις) προτιμήσεις τουλάχιστον των μισών «εγγεγραμμένων» μελών του Δημοκρατικού κόμματος, του 70%-75% των «ανεξάρτητων» ψηφοφόρων, που είναι και οι περισσότεροι στις ΗΠΑ, και τέλος, του 25%-30% της πληβειακής βάσης των Ρεπουμπλικάνων; Και κυρίως, γιατί δεν λένε λέξη για το ιστορικής σημασίας γεγονός ότι ο Μπέρνι έχει ξεσηκώσει την μέχρι πρόσφατα πλήρως αμέτοχη και αδιαφορούσα για τα κοινά αμερικανική νεολαία, ενώ παράλληλα κινητοποιεί και συσπειρώνει μια όλο και πιο ριζοσπαστική αμερικανική εργατική τάξη;

  1. Να λοιπόν γιατί αρχίσαμε αυτό το άρθρο με την προειδοποίηση ότι "αυτό που συμβαίνει με τον Μπέρνι Σάντερς, το κίνημά του και τις αμερικανικές προκριματικές εκλογές ίσως να μην έχει προηγούμενο στην ιστορία της παραπληροφόρησης και της πλύσης εγκεφάλου των πολιτών από μέρους των καθεστωτικών ΜΜΕ!». Ούτε λέξη ή απαξιωτικά σχόλια για τον άνθρωπο και το πρωτόγνωρο σε μαζικότητα και ριζοσπαστισμό κίνημα του που συγκεντρώνουν την προτίμηση του πληθυσμού (323 εκατομμύρια!) όχι κάποιας μικρής χώρας της Ευρώπης ή της Ασίας αλλά της ίδιας της παγκόσμιας υπερδύναμης που επηρεάζει όσο καμιά άλλη τις ζωές μας!

  1. Λοιπόν, ας μην κρυβόμαστε. Είναι φανερό –ή μάλλον βγάζει κυριολεκτικά μάτια- ότι αυτή η χωρίς προηγούμενο συνωμοσία σιωπής και παραπληροφόρησης εξηγείται μόνον αν λάβουμε υπόψη το ιστορικών διαστάσεων διακύβευμα αυτής της υπόθεσης. Με απλά λόγια, όλα αυτά τα μεγάλα ΜΜΕ, που μονοπωλούν την πληροφόρηση σε πλανητικό επίπεδο, τα διάφορα CNN, Τάϊμς της Νέας Υόρκης, Washington Post, NBC, ABC, LA Times, και τα ευρωπαϊκά νεοσυντηρητικά και ακραία νεοφιλελεύθερα ξαδέλφια τους Le Monde, El Pais, Repubblica καθώς και τα πασίγνωστα εγχώρια κακέκτυπά τους, δεν κάνουν τίποτα άλλο …από τη δουλειά τους. Είναι σε διατεταγμένη υπηρεσία. Τώρα μάλιστα που έχουν σφίξει υπερβολικά τα πράγματα και τείνουν να εκλείψουν τα περιθώρια ελιγμών που επιτρέπουν οι «ομαλές» ιστορικές περίοδοι της ανέμελης αστικής κυριαρχίας, γινόμαστε μάρτυρες ενός σπανιότατου φαινομένου: Πέφτουν η μια μετά την άλλη οι μάσκες του καθωσπρεπισμού και της φιλελεύθερης προσέγγισης των πραγμάτων, και απομένει σε όλους δαύτους μόνο το απεχθές πρόσωπο της πάση θυσία υπεράσπισης των ελάχιστων «από πάνω» (του περίφημου 1%) ενάντια στο 99% των «από κάτω» που τολμούν να σηκώσουν κεφάλι. Δυστυχώς, δεν έχουμε δει ακόμα τίποτα, και τα χειρότερα είναι πάντα μπροστά μας…

Αν όμως όλοι αυτοί κάνουν τη δουλειά τους, τι άραγε κάνουν οι άλλοι, εκείνο το ένα χιλιοστό των ΜΜΕ που λέει ότι εκφράζει και υπερασπίζεται τους απανταχού γης «από κάτω»; Η απάντηση παραπέμπει σε μια αληθινή τραγωδία: Με ελάχιστες εξαιρέσεις, συνήθως σιωπούν αρνούμενοι να ψάξουν τα γεγονότα και να διαμορφώσουν τη δική τους άποψη. Με άλλα λόγια, δεν κάνουν τίποτα και, ακόμα χειρότερα, σε αρκετές περιπτώσεις αναπαράγουν την προπαγάνδα των «καθεστωτικών» ΜΜΕ! Φτάνουν μάλιστα να επαναλαμβάνουν τερατολογίες όπως ότι η επιμονή του Μπέρνι να μην αποσύρεται υπέρ της Χίλαρι, την εμποδίζει να επικεντρωθεί πιο αποτελεσματικά στη μάχη της κατά του Τραμπ! Τι θα έλεγε το καλό έντυπο της άκρας αριστεράς που δημοσίευσε –σίγουρα καλόπιστα- αυτό τον ισχυρισμό, αν κάποιος του παρατηρούσε ότι… η επιμονή του να ασκεί σκληρή κριτική στον Τσίπρα εμποδίζει τον τελευταίο να αντισταθεί αποτελεσματικά στην Τρόικα;…

Έστω λοιπόν και αργά, έστω και την τελευταία στιγμή, ας αλλάξουμε στάση και ας αντιληφθούμε επιτέλους ότι στις ΗΠΑ συντελείται αυτό τον καιρό μια αληθινή κοινωνική και πολιτική κοσμογονία, με άμεσες συνέπειες για εμάς και τα παιδιά μας, για την ανθρωπότητα και τον ίδιο τον πλανήτη. Όμως, προσοχή: Πρόκειται για μια σκληρή μάχη που η έκβασή της δεν έχει ακόμα κριθεί και που απαιτεί από εμάς την ενεργό συμμετοχή μας στο πλευρό των εκατοντάδων χιλιάδων βορειο-αμερικανών αγωνιστών που παλεύουν αυτές τις κρίσιμες εβδομάδες στην πρώτη γραμμή. Όπως, μεταξύ άλλων, στην κρισιμότατη συνδιάσκεψη του People’s Summit που αρχίζει σε μερικές μέρες (17 Ιουνίου) στο Σικάγο, και η οποία παραμένει άγνωστη στη χώρα μας, ενώ «φυσιολογικά» θα έπρεπε να ετοιμάζουμε τώρα την έστω και συμβολική παρουσία σε αυτή κάποιων αντιπροσώπων των ελληνικών κινημάτων και της ελληνικής αριστεράς.

Σε τελευταία ανάλυση, ας καταλάβουμε έστω και αυτή την απλή αλήθεια: Δεν είναι τόσο το αμερικανικό αλλά μάλλον το ελληνικό κοινωνικό και αριστερό κίνημα που θα χάσει αν συνεχίσει να γυρνάει την πλάτη του και να αρνείται να επωφεληθεί από το «δώρο εξ ουρανού» που αποτελεί για όλους τους καταπτοημένους και ηττοπαθείς αριστερούς της σημερινής -γκρίζας προς το φαιό- Ευρώπης η υπό εξέλιξη αμερικανική πολιτική και κοινωνική κοσμογονία.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on. Her piece is an incomplete depiction of what is happening on the ground, ignoring many salient facts that have come to light and which have been outdated by recent events.
