Νέες ενδοϊμπεριαλιστικές αντιθέσεις στη Μέση Ανατολή

Στον 21ο αιώνα στα «ευρασιατικά Βαλκάνια» (Λίβανος, Παλαιστίνη, Συρία, Ιράν, Ιράκ), στην περιοχή του Κόλπου και στην ευρύτερη Μέση Ανατολή, μια περιοχή-εθνοτικό μωσαϊκό, εμπλέκονται άμεσα δύο βασικοί άξονες: Από τη μία ο ευρωατλαντικός, με διακριτά συμφέροντα κυρίως μεταξύ ΗΠΑ και Βρετανίας και με διακριτά ενεργό συμμετοχή πρωτίστως της Γαλλίας αλλά και Γερμανίας. Από την άλλη, ο άξονας Ρωσίας-Κίνας-Συρίας-Λιβάνου-Ιράν, με υπαρκτές αντιθέσεις στο εσωτερικό του.

Μέρος 1ο – Πυριτιδαποθήκη

Μιλάμε για μια περιοχή στην οποία, μόνο τα τελευταία τριάντα χρόνια, έχουμε δύο εισβολές των ΗΠΑ, την καταστροφή δυο χωρών –του Ιράκ και της Συρίας– και τον διαρκή αγώνα των Παλαιστινίων. Στη διαπάλη που διεξάγεται όλα γίνονται και όλα επιτρέπονται. Κράτη, πολυεθνικά μονοπώλια, ομάδες επιχειρήσεων και επιχειρηματιών, σύμμαχοι, «φίλοι» και συνεργάτες από τη μια μέρα στην άλλη ονομάζονται εχθροί και τρομοκράτες –και αντιστρόφως– σε ένα σκληρό παιχνίδι χωρίς τέλος. Ο αιώνιος νόμος του καπιταλισμού, ο ανταγωνισμός και η ταξική πάλη, δρα –καθοριστικά πολλές φορές– στο εσωτερικό των διάφορων μερίδων της αστικής τάξης, σε διαφορετικούς μονοπωλιακούς κλάδους ή στο εσωτερικό του ίδιου κλάδου, εξίσου σκληρά ή και σκληρότερα από ό,τι ανάμεσα σε διαφορετικές τάξεις.

Ο σημερινός χάρτης της περιοχής του Περσικού Κόλπου, με τα κράτη και εμιράτα της αραβικής χερσονήσου διαμορφώθηκε μετά το Δεύτερο Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο από τις φυλές και τις φατρίες που κατάφεραν να διατηρήσουν την αυτοτέλειά τους. Τότε οι Αμερικανοί, οι νέοι ηγεμόνες που αναδύθηκαν από τον πόλεμο, χάραξαν τα σύνορα των κρατών με τις ανατριχιαστικές ευθείες που γνωρίζουμε σήμερα. Η διαπάλη ανάμεσα στις «μεγάλες και πολιτισμένες δυνάμεις», το ενδιαφέρον και ο ρόλος τους, ξεκινά και συνεχίζεται με τα ίδια κίνητρα που είχαν και οι Βρετανοί χρόνια πριν. Τότε που μοίραζαν τα εδάφη της διαλυόμενης Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας.

Το πετρέλαιο τότε, το πετρέλαιο και το αέριο τώρα, οι φυσικοί δρόμοι εμπορίου τότε, οι σύγχρονοι δρόμοι του μεταξιού τώρα, για τον νέο ηγεμόνα την Κίνα, η οποία αναδύεται καθώς οι ΗΠΑ, όπως τότε η Μεγάλη Βρετανία, υποχωρούν και ανταγωνίζονται. Μόνο που τώρα το ρόλο του «Λόρενς της Αραβίας» τον παίζουν ξεδιάντροπα πότε ο Τραμπ και πότε ο Σαρκοζί και ο Σρέντερ, άλλοτε ο Μπλερ και άλλοτε ο Ολάντ και η Μέρκελ, που αποτυπώνουν τα κεντήματα της σύγχρονης ιμπεριαλιστικής διπλωματίας.

Σε αυτό το φόντο, το ζάμπλουτο Κατάρ μέχρι πριν από λίγο ήταν αξιόπιστος φίλος των Αμερικανών. Ξαφνικά, μετά την επίσκεψη Τραμπ στη Σαουδική Αραβία, εμφανίζεται ως ο αποδιοπομπαίος τράγος, ως «ο προστάτης των τρομοκρατών». Και μάλιστα, από τις χώρες (Σαουδική Αραβία και ΗΠΑ) με τις πλέον σκοτεινές και δαιδαλώδεις σχέσεις με ό,τι αντιδραστικό και ακροδεξιό κυκλοφορεί στον πλανήτη.

Σε κάθε περίπτωση, μετά και την απόφαση της Σαουδικής Αραβίας, των Ηνωμένων Αραβικών Εμιράτων, της Αιγύπτου και του Μπαχρέιν να συγκροτήσουν αυτό που ονομάζουν ισλαμική στρατιωτική συμμαχία, παράλληλα με τις οικονομικές κυρώσεις εναντίον του Κατάρ, η κρίση στον Κόλπο κλιμακώνεται.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique.
