ΗΠΑ – Ισραήλ δημιουργούν συνθήκες γενικευμένου πολέμου στη Μ.Ανατολή

Αλυσιδωτές αντιδράσεις με επιπτώσεις στην ευρύτερη Μέση Ανατολή απειλούν να προκαλέσουν οι συντονισμένες επιθετικές κινήσεις της Ουάσινγκτον και του Τελ Αβίβ στη Συρία εναντίον ιρανικών και ρωσικών στόχων.

Ο νέος κύκλος έντασης ξεκίνησε με τις αεροπορικές επιδρομές του Ισραήλ εναντίον της Συρίας που ακολούθησαν την κατάρριψη ιπτάμενου αντικειμένου, που σύμφωνα με τις ισραηλινές ένοπλες δυνάμεις αποτελούσε ιρανικό drone. Ακολούθησε ανηλεής βομβαρδισμός ιρανικών στόχων στο εσωτερικό της Συρίας κατά τη διάρκεια του οποίου η συριακή αεράμυνα κατέρριψε ένα ισραηλινό F-16.

Την ίδια ώρα αδιευκρίνιστος παραμένει ο αριθμός των Ρώσων συμβούλων και στρατιωτών που έχασαν τη ζωή τους κατά τη διάρκεια αμερικανικών αεροπορικών βομβαρδισμών στη Συρία στις 7 Φεβρουαρίου. Το Πεντάγωνο ανακοίνωσε αρχικά ότι σκότωσε περίπου 100 μαχητές που κινούνταν εναντίον της οργάνωσης Δημοκρατικές Δυνάμεις της Συρίας.

Το πρακτορείο Reuters, επικαλούμενο ρωσικές πηγές κάνει λόγο για δεκάδες Ρώσους που έχασαν τη ζωή τους, ενώ το Bloomberg αναφέρεται σε δυο ρωσικές πηγές που ανεβάζουν τον αριθμό στα 200 θύματα.

Η Δαμασκός χαρακτήρισε την επίθεση «έγκλημα πολέμου» υποστηρίζοντας ότι οι δυνάμεις της που δέχθηκαν επίθεση κινούνταν ενάντια σε εναπομείναντες θύλακες του ISIS.

Μια εβδομάδα νωρίτερα είχε καταρριφθεί ρωσικό αεροσκάφος Su-25 από δυνάμεις που συνδέονται με την Αλ Κάιντα και οι οποίες – τουλάχιστον – στο παρελθόν χρηματοδοτούνταν και εξοπλίζονταν από τις ΗΠΑ.

Οι αμερικανικές επιθέσεις πραγματοποιούνται σε μικρή απόσταση από περιοχές με πλούσια κοιτάσματα φυσικού αερίου και πετρελαίου, όπως το Ομάρ και το Χασίμ, με προφανή στόχο να ανατρέψουν τις ισορροπίες δυνάμεων στην περιοχή. Είναι μάλιστα οι ίδιες περιοχές στις οποίες αμερικανικές και βρετανικές δυνάμεις είχαν φυγαδεύσει μαχητές του ISIS προκειμένου αυτές να περάσουν άμεσα στον έλεγχο φιλοδυτικών μαχητών.

Οι ΗΠΑ ανακοίνωσαν στα τέλη Ιανουαρίου ότι θα διατηρήσουν τουλάχιστον 2.000 Αμερικανούς στρατιώτες στη Βόρεια Συρία, παρά την ήττα που υπέστησαν οι δυνάμεις του ISIS – οι οποίες αποτελούσαν την επίσημη δικαιολογία του Πενταγώνου για την ανάπτυξη στρατιωτικών δυνάμεων στο εσωτερικό της Συρίας.

Οι επιθέσεις όμως, από ΗΠΑ και Ισραήλ εναντίον ιρανικών και ρωσικών στόχων προκαλεί ανεξέλεγκτη κλιμάκωση της έντασης στην περιοχή.
