The US propaganda machine has just confirmed what establishment's worst nightmare would be: a great coalition of Bernie Sanders with the Greens
Another
story of alleged 'Russian interference' in the 2016 US presidential
election came on surface after Robert Mueller charged 13 Russian
nationals and three Russian entities that assisted Kremlin's efforts
to interfere in the election through an information warfare.
The
report
reveals the names of the alleged conspirators, but still, we should
be very skeptical with any 'proof' about any case, coming from US
agencies, as their capability to construct false evidence to promote
certain agendas is recorded and well-known for decades.
But even
if we accept these findings, the report actually clarifies three
basic facts:
1st,
that Russia did not actually 'hacked' the election, that is, did not
altered the result through any kind of direct voting fraud, as
previous 'Russiagate' stories were indirectly implied. These
individuals were trying to reinforce support for certain candidates
though information campaigns in social media and elsewhere. Well, the
United States are doing much worse things in foreign countries when
they want regime change. It's good that this has been clarified.
2nd, the
report states that these campaigns were in favor of Donald Trump,
Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein, but there is absolutely no evidence
that these individuals were connected with those candidates in any
way.
3rd,
after the election, the individuals were organizing both pro-Trump
and anti-Trump events! For example, as described in a paragraph,
“After the election of Donald Trump in or around November 2016,
Defendants and their co-conspirators used false U.S. personas to
organize and coordinate U.S. political rallies in support of then
president-elect Trump, while simultaneously using other false U.S.
personas to organize and coordinate U.S. political rallies protesting
the results of the 2016 U.S. presidential election. For example, in
or around November 2016, Defendants and their co-conspirators
organized a rally in New York through one ORGANIZATION-controlled
group designed to “show your support for President-Elect Donald
Trump” held on or about November 12, 2016. At the same time,
Defendants and their co-conspirators, through another
ORGANIZATION-controlled group, organized a rally in New York called
“Trump is NOT my President” held on or about November 12, 2016.
Similarly, Defendants and their co-conspirators organized a rally
entitled “Charlotte Against Trump” in Charlotte, North Carolina,
held on or about November 19, 2016.”
The
above practice resembles Vladislav Surkov's method of 'non-linear'
war that was expanded in the political and economical field and was
tested inside Russia, but adopted also by Western politicians to
manipulate the masses in their countries, as you can see in the
following short video by Adam Curtis:
In
essence, the concept of non-linear war has been adopted long before
Surkov by the US war machine after WWII. The ultimate goal was not to
win any war, but to fulfill specific targets. Similar methods of
public control and manipulation were adopted by the metropolitan
centers of modern propaganda and neoliberalism: the United States and
the United Kingdom.
Yet, the
most interesting outcome of the story is the reaction by many of the
big media, part of the US propaganda machine. They rushed to create
big headlines putting – in many cases - Trump, Sanders and Stein
together, giving the impression (again) that they directly colluded
with Russia.
This is
a classic tactic that have been analyzed in the blog, on the occasion
of 2016 US elections. The establishment attempts to smear real
progressives by equalizing them with Trump through false accusations,
while at the same time completely erases their huge ideological and
political differences. The ultimate goal: to lead voters back to the
neoliberal political center, expressed by mainstream politicians like
Hillary Clinton, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, who have been portrayed as
the key 'victims' of this case.
Of
course, beyond the impressive headlines, the big media didn't bother
to mention that Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton, even after
the dirty war against him by the DNC, and that he fully and openly
aligned with the 'Russiagate' establishment narratives, through
various statements.
Yet, we
should thank the US propaganda machine because through its anxiety to
grab another chance to smear both Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein,
confirmed what establishment's worst nightmare would be: a
great coalition of Bernie with the Greens.
