“Ο πρόεδρος του Ισημερινού Ραφαέλ Κορέα ανακοίνωσε ότι αναγκάστηκε να ακυρώσει μια δημόσια εμφάνισή του, λόγω μιας 'σοβαρής απειλής' για την ασφάλειά του, αφού στάλθηκαν μέσω κινητού τηλεφώνου απειλητικά μηνύματα περί μιας άμεσα επικείμενης επίθεσης. Για τις απειλές διεξάγεται έρευνα κι ένα πρόσωπο συνελήφθη.”

“Ο πρόεδρος του Ισημερινού ανέφερε ότι παραλήφθηκαν από τον δήμαρχο δύο μηνύματα και διευκρίνισε πως εξακριβώθηκε πως εστάλησαν από ένα τηλέφωνο μέσα σε ακτίνα 500 μέτρων από την τοποθεσία όπου επρόκειτο να παρακαθίσει στο γεύμα με κατοίκους και ιθαγενείς.”

“Το μήνυμα έλεγε επί λέξει: ‘τι νομίζεις, ότι εσύ είσαι αυτός που θα σώσει τον κόσμο; Κάνεις λάθος. Θα σε σκοτώσουμε μαζί με τον Κορέα. Θα δεις σήμερα’', τόνισε ο Κορέα. Ο πρόεδρος του Ισημερινού πρόσθεσε ότι λίγη ώρα αργότερα, έφθασε και νέα απειλή στο τηλέφωνο του δημάρχου, με ένα μήνυμα που έκανε λόγο περί του ότι θα πέθαιναν άμεσα “πολυάριθμοι άνθρωποι” στο πάρκο όπου αναμενόταν να μεταβεί ο πρόεδρος. 'Διεξάγεται έρευνα για την υπόθεση αυτή. Βρήκαμε το πρόσωπο στο οποίο ανήκει το τηλέφωνο. Αντιμετωπίζει έρευνα. Μας είπε ότι δεν έστειλε εκείνο' τα μηνύματα, εξήγησε ο πρόεδρος.”


Υπενθυμίζεται ότι ο Ισημερινός επί προεδρίας Κορέα, διέγραψε ένα μεγάλο μέρος του δημόσιου χρέους: “Θεωρητικά, σε μια υπερχρεωμένη χώρα, όπως η Ελλάδα, η έναρξη λογιστικού ελέγχου θα έπρεπε να προκαλεί αισθήματα πανικού πρώτα και κύρια στους ξένους δανειστές. Οπως απέδειξε όμως και η περίπτωση του Ισημερινού, όπου ο λογιστικός έλεγχος συνέβαλε στη διαγραφή του 70% του χρέους, οι πρώτες αντιδράσεις έρχονται πάντα από το εσωτερικό. [...] Με εντολή του [Κορέα] η επιτροπή [λογιστικού ελέγχου χρέους] άρχισε να δημοσιεύσει την πορεία των ερευνών, ακόμη και με τηλεοπτικές εκπομπές. Η κυβέρνηση κρατούσε στα χέρια της ένα πανίσχυρο όπλο, το οποίο όμως μπορούσε να λειτουργήσει μόνον εάν συμμετείχαν ενεργά στη διαδικασία και οι ίδιοι οι ενδιαφερόμενοι. Ολοι αυτοί, δηλαδή, που έβλεπαν τη ζωή τους να καταστρέφεται από τη συνεχή γιγάντωση του δημόσιου χρέους. Ο λογιστικός έλεγχος προκαλούσε πάντα πανικό στις πολιτικές και οικονομικές ελίτ καθεστώτων που είχαν διασπαθίσει πόρους του Δημοσίου καταφεύγοντας συνήθως και σε υπέρμετρο δανεισμό με λεόντειους όρους, από το εξωτερικό. Η υποστήριξη του λαού στην τωρινή κυβέρνηση ειδικά στο θέμα του λογιστικού ελέγχου του χρέους πρέπει να είναι ισχυρή και ακλόνητη γιατί είναι σίγουρο ότι οι απειλές της χρηματοπιστωτικής μαφίας εντός και εκτός συνόρων θα κλιμακωθούν: “Είναι ίσως η πρώτη φορά που οι Δυτικές ελίτ βρίσκονται σε τόσο δύσκολη θέση μετά από πολλές δεκαετίες απόλυτης κυριαρχίας. Με ή χωρίς Grexit, φαίνεται ότι χάνουν τον έλεγχο. Τι θα κάνουν τότε; Τα συνηθισμένα με σειρά μεγέθους: προπαγάνδα - "ήπιες" δολοφονίες - οικονομικοί δολοφόνοι - "σκληρές" δολοφονίες - έγχρωμες επαναστάσεις - στρατιωτικά πραξικοπήματα.” (http://failedevolution.blogspot.gr/2015/02/grexit.html)

14,000 babies could die if aid doesn’t enter Gaza in 48 hours, UN warns

Some 14,000 babies could die in Gaza in 48 hours if aid does not reach them in time, the UN’s humanitarian chief, Tom Fletcher, told the BBC today. Though Israel said it would allow “basic aid” into Gaza, only five trucks entered the enclave yesterday, two carrying shrouds to help bury Palestinians killed in Israel’s bombs. Others were in Gaza, but were being held by occupation forces and had not reached Palestinians. This was the first delivery of aid since 2 March, when Israel completely sealed the enclave. This, Fletcher explained, is a “drop in the ocean” and totally inadequate for a population of over 2.3 million, and for which no aid has been allowed to enter for 80 days.    “Tonnes of food is blocked at the [Gaza] border” by Israel, Director General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said yesterday. Twenty-nine people have starved to death in the last few days.  Death by starvation is horrific, the body feeding on itself, first consuming carbohydrates and fats, and then moving on to the protein parts of tissue.
