O θερμός Λατινοαμερικάνικος Αύγουστος

Ο πλανήτης φλέγεται για άλλη μια φορά. Στα ανοιχτά πολεμικά μέτωπα σε Συρία, Ουκρανία-Ρωσία, Παλαιστίνη και αλλού, ήρθε να προστεθεί το αποτυχημένο αμφιλεγόμενο πραξικόπημα στην Τουρκία και οι μετέπειτα εκτεταμένες εκκαθαρίσεις Ερντογάν. Είχε ήδη προηγηθεί η Σύνοδος του ΝΑΤΟ στην Πολωνία όπου εγκρίθηκε το νέο του δόγμα, το οποίο πολύ γρήγορα επιβεβαίωσε το δείγμα γραφής που είχε ήδη δώσει.

Τα απανωτά τσουνάμι των προσφύγων στην παραπαίουσα παλαι ποτέ “Ενωμένη Ευρώπη”, ανάβουν ακροδεξιές φωτιές και στο χειμάζον κίνημα στις χώρες της κάποτε 2ης οικονομίας του κόσμου, κυριαρχεί το παραλυτικό συναίσθημα “ευτυχώς που δεν πάθαμε τίποτα”. Βεβαίως, πλην των γνωστών εξαιρέσεων, οι οποίες όμως αδυνατούν απολύτως να σηκώσουν, έστω, αναχώματα.

Και μέσα σε όλα αυτά, σκάει η μεγαλύτερη απεργία στην ιστορία του εργατικού κινήματος: 150 εκατομμύρια απεργοί στην Ινδία! Το φάντασμα του κομμουνισμού, μάλλον έφυγε πάνω από την Ευρώπη και ο έρμος ο ιστορικός του μέλλοντος, σίγουρα θα σημειώσει, ότι η μεγαλύτερη απεργία που έγινε ποτέ αγνοήθηκε από τα κυρίαρχα ΜΜΕ και οι ειδήσεις γι αυτήν γράφτηκαν σε κάποια blogs.

Στην άλλη πλευρά του Ατλαντικού το αφεντικό του πλανήτη έχει τους δικούς του σεβντάδες. Οι επικείμενες προεδρικές εκλογές στις ΗΠΑ, εντάσσονται στην διαδικασία θωράκισης του εσωτερικού μετώπου της αυτοκρατορίας – καθήκον όχι και ιδιαίτερα εύκολο – και η τακτική των πραξικοπημάτων (του 21ου αιώνα), εντάσσονται και πάλι στην ημερήσια διάταξη στην αμερικάνικη ήπειρο. Άμεσος στόχος είναι να ανακοπεί η διαδικασία ενοποίησης της ηπείρου – και σε αυτό βοηθάει πολύ η οικονομική κρίση – και ταυτόχρονα να διασφαλιστούν τα μετόπισθεν, η λεγόμενη σε συνθήκες ειρήνης “Πίσω αυλή των ΗΠΑ”.

Τα πρώτα δείγματα αύξησης της ιμπεριαλιστικής επιθετικότητας στην αμερικάνικη ήπειρο δόθηκαν ξεκάθαρα από τις αρχές του χρόνου. Όπως επισημάνθηκε και τότε, η αποκατάσταση των διπλωματικών σχέσεων Κούβας – ΗΠΑ, κάθε άλλο παρά αλλαγή πολιτικής-στόχων της αυτοκρατορίας σήμαινε, πολύ περισσότερο απέναντι στην ίδια την Κούβα. Αυτό διακηρύχτηκε ξεκάθαρα και από τις δύο πλευρές τότε. Η μικρή ιστορική εμπειρία της σχετικής χαλάρωσης της ιμπεριαλιστικής πίεσης στην Κούβα, μας δείχνει ότι συνοδεύεται με όξυνση της ιμπεριαλιστικής επιθετικότητας σε όλη την ήπειρο (Κάρτερ – Νικαράγουα, 1979).

Τα εκλογικά αποτελέσματα στα τέλη του 2015 σε Αργεντινή και Βενεζουέλα, φούντωσαν αυτή την συζήτηση στη Λατινική Αμερική. Όλοι διαισθάνονταν ότι μπαίναμε τότε σε μια περίοδο προπαρασκευής, σε έναν αγώνα δρόμου και προετοιμασίας για μεγαλύτερες συγκρούσεις.

Ο Αύγουστος που πέρασε σηματοδότησε μια επιθετική εκστρατεία της αυτοκρατορίας, ενάντια στη Βενεζουέλα, την Βραζιλία και την Βολιβία με σαφή στόχο την πτώση των κυβερνήσεων αυτών των χωρών. Η σύγκρουση αυτή κορυφώθηκε την 1η Σεπτέμβρη στη Βενεζουέλα με την μετωπική αντιπαράθεση στους δρόμους με φιλοκυβερνητικές και αντικυβερνητικές διαδηλώσεις.

Στη Βραζιλία, οι εξελίξεις ήταν λίγο – πολύ αναμενόμενες. Το κοινοβουλευτικό – δικαστικό πραξικόπημα κατά της προέδρου Ντίλμα Ρούσεφ, ολοκληρώθηκε με την ψηφοφορία στην Γερουσία της χώρας και ο πρώην σύμμαχος της προέδρου και το κόμμα του, ανέλαβαν την προεδρία και την κυβέρνηση της χώρας για το διάστημα που απομένει μέχρι τις επόμενες εκλογές.

Οι παραιτήσεις υπουργών της νέας κυβέρνησης το πρώτο διάστημα, καθώς έβγαινε στη φόρα η εμπλοκή τους σε διαφθορά και μεγάλα οικονομικά σκάνδαλα, έδωσαν τη θέση τους στην περίοδο των καθημερινών διαδηλώσεων, που επιμένουν, μαζικοποιούνται και επεκτείνονται σε όλη τη χώρα.

Η νέα κυβέρνηση αντιμετωπίζει και διεθνή απομόνωση, ιδιαίτερα στη Λατινική Αμερική όπου πολλές χώρες καταδίκασαν το πραξικόπημα, ανάμεσά τους και η Κούβα, ενώ αρκετές χώρες της ALBA ανακάλεσαν τους πρεσβευτές τους.

Η Βραζιλία περνά λοιπόν στην κατηγορία χωρών με καθημερινές διαδηλώσεις αμφισβήτησης της κυβέρνησής τους ή στην καλύτερη περίπτωση της εξασκούμενης αντιλαϊκής πολιτικής της. Το μέλλον το δείχνει η Αργεντινή, όπου η νεοσυντηρητική κυβέρνηση Μάκρι, εν μέσω απεργιών και καταστολής, κατάφερε – μεταξύ άλλων – να χαθούν 200.000 θέσεις εργασίας τους πρώτους 8 μήνες της διακυβέρνησής της.

Στη Βολιβία επιχειρήθηκε το δεύτερο πραξικόπημα από τις ΗΠΑ, μέσω της απεργίας των συνεταιρισμών εξόρυξης (εργολάβων - ανθρακωρύχων), οι οποίοι αντιδρούσαν στον νέο νόμο που επέβαλε φορολογία και δημιουργία συνδικάτων στις ιδιόμορφες επιχειρήσεις τους. Κυρίως όμως, αντιδρούσσαν στην απαγόρευση ανεξέλεγκτης εξόρυξης και στη απαγόρευση συμβάσεων πώλησης του μεταλλεύματος σε ιδιώτες, μεταξύ αυτών, σε ξένα μονοπώλια.

Το πραξικόπημα ήταν επαγγελματικό. Υπήρχε επιτελείο, χρηματοδότηση και επιχειρησιακό σχέδιο. Παγιδεύτηκε με δυναμίτη ένας ολόκληρος λόφος με στόχο να ανατιναχθεί όταν μπει η αστυνομία και να προκαλέσει πάνω από 200 νεκρούς. Δολοφονήθηκε ο υφυπουργός Ροδόλφο Ιγιάνες, όταν πήγε να διαπραγματευτεί με τους συνεταιρισμούς από πλευράς της κυβέρνησης και σκοτώθηκαν επίσης 4 ανθρακωρύχοι, 3 από πυρά της αστυνομίας και 1 όταν του έσκασε δυναμίτης στα χέρια.

Το σχέδιο ήταν να υπάρξουν εκατοντάδες νεκροί (μεταξύ αυτών και μέλη της κυβέρνησης), ώστε να δοθεί η εικόνα γενικευμένης πολύνεκρης εξέγερσης και κατάρρευσης της κυβέρνησης Μοράλες. Το σχέδιο απέτυχε και ένας από τους λόγους αυτής της αποτυχίας, είναι ότι το Συνδικάτο των εργαζόμενων ανθρακωρύχων στα κρατικά ορυχεία, υποστήριξε την κυβέρνηση Μοράλες.

Στη Βενεζουέλα την πρώτη Σεπτέμβρη είχε προκηρυχτεί από την αντιπολίτευση η επιχείρηση “La toma de Caracas” (H Kατάληψη του Καράκας) μέσω μαζικών- παλαιικών διαδηλώσεων που θα έριχναν την κυβέρνηση. Η απάντηση των Τσαβίστας ήταν καταλυτική. Γέμισαν τις πλατείες όλης της χώρας όλη την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα και την 1η Σεπτέμβρη πλημμύρισαν το Καράκας, με μια πραγματικά μεγαλειώδη συγκέντρωση.

Κάποιοι από τους πιο μετριοπαθείς ηγέτες της αντιπολίτευσης δήλωσαν ακόμα και στα ΜΜΕ ότι ο στόχος της επιχείρησης δεν επετεύχθη. Όμως αυτά είναι ψιλά γράμματα για τα ιμπεριαλιστικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, τα οποία αναγκάστηκαν και αυτά να ομολογήσουν ότι η συγκέντρωση του Μαδούρο ήταν εξ ίσου μαζική με αυτήν της αντιπολίτευσης.

Η οποία συγκέντρωση της αντιπολίτευσης υποτίθεται ότι έφτασε το ένα εκατομμύριο κόσμο! Για να γίνει αντιληπτό το μέγεθος αυτής της γελοιότητας, αρκεί να γνωρίζει κανείς ότι ο πληθυσμός του Καράκας είναι περίπου ο μισός από της Αθήνας.

Ωστόσο, αυτό ήταν η επιφάνεια του σχεδίου πραξικοπήματος. Παραμονές συνελήφθησαν κάποιοι ηγέτες της αντιπολίτευσης με εκρηκτικά και ψηφιακά αρχεία με χάρτες κλπ και σε δασική έκταση κοντά στο προεδρικό μέγαρο πάνοπλη παραστρατιωτική ομάδα 90 ένοπλων με πλήρη εξοπλισμό.

Πέρα από την μαζικότητα των διαδηλώσεων υπέρ της κυβέρνησης, θα πρέπει να ληφθεί υπ όψη, ότι στα πλαίσια της πολιτικής-στρατιωτικής ενότητας, σαν διακριτός πυλώνας εξουσίας συνταγματικά κατοχυρωμένος, υπάρχει η Μπολιβαριάνικη Πολιτοφυλακη (La Milicia Bolivariana) που έχει μονάδες στους χώρους δουλειάς, στα εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα και στις εδαφικές ενότητες της χώρας. Σύμφωνα με “καταγγελίες” της δεξιάς, αυτό το σώμα αριθμεί 500.ΟΟΟ μαχητές σε όλη τη χώρα και διαθέτει εγκαταστάσεις και βαρύ οπλισμό.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on. Her piece is an incomplete depiction of what is happening on the ground, ignoring many salient facts that have come to light and which have been outdated by recent events.
