Two years
after the assassination of the anti-fascist musician, Pavlos Fyssas,
the leader of Golden Dawn, the neo-nazi party in Greece, took the
responsibility of the 'political assassination' of Fyssas.
Specificaly,
one day before the black anniversary of Fyssas assassination, the
Golden Dawn leader, Nikos Michaloliakos, said to the journalist,
Nikos Chatzinikolaou, that "his party assumes the 'political
responsibility' for the murder of the rapper , but was quick to claim
that 'there is no criminal liability' in the murder and questioned
whether it was fair for an entire party to be condemned over such a

Pavlos
Fyssas was stabbed to death in Keratsini-Athens on 18 September 2013,
by George Roupakias a member of Golden Dawn.
After two
years, the majority of those Golden Dawn members that have been
accused and arrested for participation in criminal organization, are
free, as it has passed the 18-month pre-trial detention. After two
years, the trial of the Golden Dawn is now at the 16th meeting after
manipulations by the lawyers.
Despite all
this, Golden Dawn managed to take the third place in the Greek
national elections of January 2015, gaining 17 seats with a
percentage of 6,28%.
Concerning
the new snap elections on Sunday in Greece, many expect that Golden
Dawn will retain the third place in the new parliament probably with
higher percentage. After Tsipras retreat and the 3rd catastrophic
memorandum deal with the lenders, a part of disappointed voters are
expected to flow to Golden Dawn.
Various
polls so far give Golden Dawn a percentage of 5.5% to 6.5%.
