Σταθερή (προπαγάνδα) γιατί κινείται (το χρήμα)

Υπάρχουν πολλοί τρόποι να μάθετε για το νέο νομοσχέδιο με τα προαπαιτούμενα που θα ξεκλειδώσει την ανακεφαλαιοποίηση των τραπεζών. Μπορείτε να αγοράσετε π.χ. μια εφημερίδα. Δεν θα δυσκολευτείτε να ξεχωρίσετε αυτή που επιθυμείτε αφού το λογότυπο της θα είναι πάνω-κάτω ό,τι περισσεύει από την πορτοκαλί διαφήμιση της Τράπεζας Πειραιώς. Αν δεν σας αρέσουν οι πορτοκαλί διαφημίσεις καλύτερα να μην δοκιμάσετε καν το internet. Καλύτερα επιλέξτε να μάθετε τα νέα από το ραδιόφωνο: σίγουρα μεταξύ δύο διαφημίσεων των τραπεζικών τερματικών POS θα υπάρχει και η είδηση. Αν τίποτα από αυτά δεν σας ικανοποιεί αναγκαστικά θα πρέπει να εμπιστευτείτε τους τηλεοπτικούς σταθμούς. Αυτοί προφανώς θα ξέρουν καλύτερα: έχουν αναδιαρθρώσει δημιουργικά τόσες φορές τα δάνειά τους που σίγουρα θα έχουν αποκτήσει την κατάλληλη εμπειρία.

Θα φανταζόταν κανείς ότι δεν υπάρχει λόγος να διαφημίζονται οι τράπεζες την ώρα που ισχύουν τα capital controls. Οι τράπεζες άλλωστε δεν λειτουργούν αυτή τη στιγμή ως πιστωτικά ιδρύματα: δεν μπορείς δηλαδή να προστρέξεις για να χρηματοδοτήσεις την επαγγελματική σου δραστηριότητα ή να εκδώσεις κάποια πιστωτική κάρτα αγορών.

Κι όμως οι τράπεζες συνεχίζουν να δαπανούν πολλές δεκάδες εκατομμύρια ευρώ στα Μέσα Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης, στοχεύοντας όχι στο κοινό αλλά στα ίδια τα μέσα. Εξασφαλίζουν με αυτό τον τρόπο την «αξιοπρεπή» στάση των δημοσιογράφων απέναντί τους και την διατήρηση της εικόνας τους ως «ιδρύματα» απαραίτητα για την διασφάλιση της κοινωνικής συνοχής.

Σε όλες τις χώρες, όπου κατάρρευσε η οικονομία, οι πολίτες στράφηκαν πρώτα εναντίον των τραπεζών. Στο youtube θα βρείτε εκατοντάδες βίντεο με διαδηλωτές να σπάνε τις τράπεζες ως σύμβολο αλλά και ηθικό αυτουργό και επιχειρησιακό βραχίονα των εγκλημάτων κατά των φτωχότερων στρωμάτων. Οι τραπεζίτες δεν χαίρουν την εκτίμηση των πολιτών ακόμα και στη δύση. Ο δημοκοπικός κολοσσός Gullup σε έρευνά του στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες τον Ιούνιο του 2014 έδειξε ότι μόνο το 26% των πολιτών έχουν θετική γνώμη για τις τράπεζες μετά την κατάρρευση της Leahman Brothers και την οικονομική κρίση του 2008. Αλλά γιατί συντηρείται ο σκεπτικισμός στην πρωτεύουσα του καπιταλισμού;

Η απάντηση είναι τα ΜΜΕ. Από το 2008 μέχρι και φέτος έχουν δημοσιευτεί 6 ντοκιμαντέρ για τον τρόπο με τον οποίο λειτουργούν οι τράπεζες. Οι NYT και οι Financial Times αποκάλυψαν από το 2013 τις καταγγελίες της υπαλλήλου της FED, Κάρμεν Σεγκάρα, που απέδειξε με ηχογραφημένα ντοκουμέντα το σαθρό σύστημα ελέγχου των ιδιωτικών τραπεζών από τις αρμόδιες ρυθμιστικές αρχές. Δημοσιεύματα σαν και αυτά έχουν οδηγήσει σε διεκδικήσεις προστίμων 16 δισεκατομμυρίων δολαρίων (15 δις ευρώ) από τα μεγαλύτερα πιστωτικά ιδρύματα των ΗΠΑ, μεταξύ των οποίων η Bank of America και η Goldman Sachs.

Στην Ελλάδα τα προβλήματα στον έλεγχο των πιστωτικών ιδρυμάτων δεν είναι μικρότερα. Ήδη η δικαιοσύνη ελέγχει την υπόθεση Λαυρεντιάδη, τα σκάνδαλα της ΑΤΕ, την πώλησή τους στην τράπεζα Πειραιώς ενώ η Κυπριακή δικαιοσύνη εξετάζει εκτός από την περίπτωση της πώλησης των ελληνικών δικτύων των κυπριακών τραπεζών στον Μιχάλη Σάλλα σε ένα βράδυ και την υπόθεση της Marfin Popular Bank του Ανδρέα Βγενόπουλου, που σύμφωνα με το πόρισμα της επιτροπής διαφάνειας της Βουλής της νήσου ευθύνεται για την κατάρρευση της κυπριακής οικονομίας.

Και ενώ μόλις προχθές 35 μεγάλα ονόματα του τραπεζικού και επιχειρηματικού κόσμου (Δημήτρης Κοντομηνάς, Λαυρέντης Λαυρεντιάδης, Περικλής Λίβας, Δημήτρης Μπακατσέλος, Βίκτωρας Ρέστης, Άγγελος Φιλιππίδης, Αναστασία Σακελλαρίου κ.α.) έχασαν το τελευταίο ένδικο μέσο και θα οδηγηθούν στο εδώλιο του κατηγορουμένου για τα δάνεια του ΤΤ την είδηση δεν θα τη βρείτε σχεδόν πουθενά.

Αντί της είδησης θα βρείτε τη διαφήμιση των τραπεζών, τις απόψεις τους για την ανακεφαλαιοποίηση και τις δηλώσεις συμπαράστασης του Μιχάλη Σάλλα στον «βιοπαλαιστή που κινδυνεύει να χάσει το σπίτι του».

Έτσι από το 2010, οπότε η χώρα μπήκε σε μνημόνιο, οι τράπεζες έχουν δαπανήσει 316 εκατομμύρια ευρώ (όσο το ισοδύναμο για το ΦΠΑ στην ιδιωτική εκπαίδευση για να λαϊκίσω και λίγο) προκειμένου όχι να διαφημιστούν αλλά να κρατήσουν τα στόματα κλειστά δια της μεθόδου του μπουκώματος.

Σε καμιά άλλη χώρα άλλωστε ο υπεύθυνος του οικονομικού μεγάλης εφημερίδας δεν θα ήταν ταυτόχρονα και εκπρόσωπος Τύπου της μεγαλύτερης Τράπεζας. Αλλά από την άλλη είπαμε: ακόμα και στην πρωτεύουσα του καπιταλισμού, ακόμα και στις πιο συστημικές εφημερίδες μπορείς να διαβάσεις για τις ατασθαλίες των τραπεζικών οργανισμών (και ουχί ιδρυμάτων).

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’
