Jill Stein: we could slip into nuclear war in the blink of an eye if Hillary Clinton has her way in Syria

Green Party presidential nominee Dr. Jill Stein spoke to RT about the terrifying prospects of Clinton or Trump in the White House.

She estimated that, particularly with Hillary Clinton as the next President, the US could provoke a nuclear war with Russia:

        My point is that Donald Trump is a wild card, he is a loose cannon, but we shouldn't fool ourselves into thinking that we're going to be safe and secure with Hillary Clinton in the White House. Donald Trump is a scary unknown, but Hillary Clinton has a proven track record for catastrophic failed wars in Iraq, in Libya, and her stated policy in Syria is to go for a no-fly zone, which amounts to a declaration of war with Russia, at a time we have 2,000 nuclear weapons on hair trigger alert, when the likes of Hillary have been beating the war drums against Russia.

          And none other than Mikhail Gorbachev, the former leader of the Soviet Union, himself has said that this is the most dangerous moment in all of history for the potential to slip into nuclear war, and that could certainly happen in the blink of an eye if Hillary Clinton has her way in Syria.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on.
