Όπως αναφέρθηκε σε παλαιότερο άρθρο, το Ταμείο Χρηματοπιστωτικής Σταθερότητας είναι ένας καθαρά ιδιωτικός οργανισμός στον οποίο το Ελληνικό Δημόσιο δεν έχει καμία εξουσία. Υπήρξαν επίσης πληροφορίες, πριν από τις εκλογές, με βάση τις οποίες υπήρχε σχέδιο για φυγάδευση των 11 δισ. του ΤΧΣ από την προηγούμενη κυβέρνηση:

Πέρα από την ακρίβεια των πληροφοριών, η κυβέρνηση πρέπει να πάρει άμεσα τον έλεγχο του ΤΧΣ, ώστε να αποφύγει στο μέλλον βρόμικα παιχνίδια που θα την έθεταν υπό ομηρία και θα την οδηγούσαν σε συμβιβασμούς πέρα από τις κόκκινες γραμμές της.
