Η Ισλανδία πρέπει να «ξεμεθύσει» από την οικονομική επιτυχία

Διορθωτικές κινήσεις για να αποφύγει την υπερθέρμανση της οικονομίας, η οποία κινείται εδώ και χρόνια με εκρηκτικούς ρυθμούς ανάπτυξης και μηδενική ανεργία, πραγματοποιεί η κεντρική τράπεζα της Ισλανδίας.

«Είναι όπως όταν βρίσκεσαι σε ένα πάρτι και συνειδητοποιείς ότι πρέπει να χαλαρώσεις για λίγο», δήλωσε ο κεντρικός τραπεζίτης Μαρ Γκούντμουντσον αναφερόμενος στα επίπεδα ρεκόρ στα οποία κινείται το πλεόνασμα τρεχουσών συναλλαγών της χώρας λόγω της βελτίωσης το εμπορίου και του τουρισμού.

Η Ισλανδική οικονομία γνωρίζει σταθερούς ρυθμούς ανάπτυξης 5% όταν σχεδόν στο σύνολο της Ευρώπης το ΑΕΠ παραμένει σταθερό όταν δεν συρρικνώνεται.

Όπως είχε αναγκαστεί να αναγνωρίσει και το ΔΝΤ η επιτυχία της εθνικής οικονομίας οφείλεται στο ότι δεν ακολούθησε καμία από τις συμβουλές που επιβλήθηκαν σε άλλες χώρες της ευρωπαϊκής περιφέρειας με τα μνημόνια.

Συγκεκριμένα η χώρα προχώρησε σε ένα είδος στάσης πληρωμών προς τους δανειστές της αρνούμενη να πληρώσει τα χρέη που είχαν δημιουργήσει στους πολίτες της ξένες τράπεζες ενώ υποτίμησε το νόμισμά της (δεδομένου ότι δεν είναι μέλος της ευρωζώνης) δίνοντας νέα ώθηση στην εθνική οικονομία. Οι τράπεζες που ευθύνονταν για την κρίση αφέθησαν να καταρρεύσουν και πέρασαν σε κρατικό έλεγχο ενώ ορισμένοι από τους τραπεζίτες κατέληξαν στη φυλακή.

Ούτε το ελάχιστο μέγεθός της (με μόλις 325.000 κατοίκους) ούτε η έλλειψη βαριάς βιομηχανίας δεν εμπόδισαν τη χώρα των Βίκινγκς να τα βάλει με τα τραπεζικά μεγαθήρια της Βρετανίας και της Ολλανδίας και να αμφισβητήσει τις εντολές του ΔΝΤ.

Όλα αυτά βέβαια γιατί οι κυβερνώντες αποδέχθηκαν, ως όφειλαν, το αποτέλεσμα των δημοψηφισμάτων με τα οποία οι Ισλανδοί ξεκαθάρισαν ότι δεν ήταν διατεθειμένοι να πληρώσουν ένα παράνομο χρέος και φυσικά γιατί δεν είναι μέλος της ΟΝΕ.

Αξίζει να θυμίσει κανείς πως κινήθηκε το επίπεδο ανεργίας στην Ισλανδία σε σχέση με την Ελλάδα, η οποία ακολούθησε κατά γράμμα τις εντολές της Τρόικας.

Το επόμενο βήμα ήταν να ακυρώσουν την αίτηση ένταξης που είχαν υποβάλλει στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση.

Ποιος θέλει να επιβιβαστεί σε ένα καράβι που βυθίζεται; Πολύ περισσότερο όταν το καράβι έχει γεμίσει από αυτοαποκαλούμενους «αριστερούς» που για ίδιον συμφέρον φωνάζουν στους επιβάτες ότι πρέπει να παραμείνουν εγκλωβισμένοι σε αυτό και να ψηφίζουν πάντα υπέρ της ΕΕ.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’
