Famous Chinese artist uses refugees' lifejackets for installation art


Photographer Giorgos Kivernitis attended the new installation art of the famous Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, who used refugees' lifejackets from Lesbos to "dress" the columns of the Konzerthaus, Berlin.

Ai Weiwei has actively expressed his support to the refugees and migrants through his work, while in late January, he withdrew his exhibition from Denmark after government's decision to confiscate valuables from the refugees arriving on its soil.
