Υπάρχει ζωή και μετά το ευρώ

Πραγματικος τρόμος διακατέχει πολλούς οπαδούς του ευρώ, στην ιδέα ενός «Grexit». Εξάλλου, τα μνημονιακά ΜΜΕ έχουν φροντίσει να καλλιεργήσουν ως «αυτονόητη» την ιδέα, ότι η έξοδος από το ευρώ θα σημάνει κάτι ανάλογο της Μικρασιατικής Καταστροφής

Με αποτέλεσμα οι ακροατές και οι αναγνώστες τέτοιων απόψεων να επηρεάζονται από την τρομολαγνεία του λόμπυ του ευρώ. Όμως, ποιά ακριβώς είναι και πόσο ισχύουν τα επιχειρήματα των φιλομνημονικών τρομολάγνων;

Επιχείρημα πρώτο: «η παραμονή στο ευρώ διασφαλίζει τη σταθερότητα και την μελλοντική ανάπτυξη της οικονομίας». Ισχύει; Aπό την ημέρα που η Ελλάδα υιοθέτησε το ευρώ, η ανεργία άρχισε να αυξάνεται, η παραγωγή να μειώνεται, το εμπορικό ισοζύγιο επιδεινώθηκε και το δημόσιο χρέος εκτοξεύτηκε. Σήμερα, μετά την υπαγωγή της χώρας στο ΔΝΤ και στους λοιπούς δανειστές, οι όροι της παραμονής μας στην ευρωζώνη είναι βαρειά υφεσιακοί, εξοντώνουν την ενεργό ζήτηση που είναι η βάση του εμπορίου και της παραγωγής και αποκλείουν οποιαδήποτε ανάπτυξη, καταδικάζοντας τη χώρα μας να παραμείνει σε μία διαρκώς επιδεινούμενη υποβάθμιση.

Επιχείρημα δεύτερο: «η παραμονή στο ευρώ εγγυάται την παραμονή της χώρας στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση και εν γένει την ευρωπαϊκή οικογένεια». Το χονδροειδές αυτό επιχείρημα δεν εξηγεί πώς μετέχουν στην ΕΕ πλήθος χωρών που έχουν εθνικά νομίσματα και όχι το ευρώ. Εξ άλλου, κανείς δεν μας υποχρεώνει να αποχωρήσουμε από την ΕΕ, που είναι πολιτική (και τελωνειακή) και όχι νομισματική ένωση.

Επιχείρημα τρίτο: «η παραμονή στο ευρώ εξασφαλίζει την παραμονή της χώρας στον δυτικό κόσμο». Συναφές με το προηγούμενο, και εξίσου χονδροειδές. Οι ΗΠΑ, η Μεγάλη Βρετανία, ο Καναδάς, και πολλές άλλες χώρες που συγκροτούν τον πυρήνα του δυτικού κόσμου, δεν ανήκουν στην Ευρωζώνη. Εγώ μάλιστα θα αντιστρέψω το επιχείρημα: η συμμετοχή της Ελλάδας στο ευρώ μας οδήγησε σε μείζονα προβλήματα με τον δυτικό κόσμο, ίσως τα μεγαλύτερα από την εποχή του Εθνικού Διχασμού. Πότε ήταν η Ελλάδα εγγύτερα στον δυτικό κόσμο, πολιτιστικά και γεωπολιτικά; Τώρα, που υπάρχει το ευρώ, ή επί δραχμής; Προφανής η απάντηση. Και μία ερώτηση κρίσεως: η σχέση εξάρτησης με το Βερολίνο μας έφερε πιο κοντά ή μήπως μας απομάκρυνε από τον δυτικό κόσμο; Με τον οποίον η Γερμανία είχε πάντοτε συγκρουσιακές σχέσεις και μάλιστα προκάλεσε εναντίον του δυτικού κόσμου δύο παγκοσμίους πολέμους;

Επιχείρημα τέταρτο: «η έξοδος από το ευρώ θα προκαλέσει χάος». Κανείς όμως από τους κινδυνολόγους δεν προσδιορίζει πώς και γιατί θα προκύψει το χάος. Με σωστό σχεδιασμό και τεχνοκρατική διαχείριση, με τη λήψη των κατάλληλων μέτρων (ανασύσταση της Νομισματικής Επιτροπής κ.λπ., που τα έχουμε παρουσιάσει σε προηγούμενο άρθρο), δεν θα υπάρξει απολύτως κανένα πρόβλημα. Θα εμφανιστούν κάποια προβλήματα στην εισαγωγή πολυτελών προϊόντων, κάτι καθόλου κακό, ενώ τυχόν ελλείψεις σε εισαγόμενα τρόφιμα (π.χ. σολωμός βορείου θαλάσσης και χαβιάρι) θα υποκατασταθούν από προϊόντα τρίτων χωρών εκτός Ευρωζώνης.

Επιχείρημα πέμπτο: «η επιστροφή στη δραχμή θα μας μεταβάλλει σε τριτοκοσμική χώρα». Είναι, αντιθέτως, απολύτως βέβαιο ότι, ακόμα κι αν υπάρξει μια μεταβατική περίοδος με δυσκολίες και αβεβαιότητες, η επιστροφή στην Εθνική Νομισματική Κυριαρχία θα οδηγήσει σε εκρηκτική ανάπτυξη. Διότι α. με παροχή λελογισμένης ρευστότητας θα αυξηθεί η ενεργός ζήτηση και θα αναζωογονηθεί η αγορά, β. θα υπάρξει χρηματοδότηση των επενδύσεων και άρα η πρώτη δημοσιονομική προϋπόθεση της παραγωγικής ανασυγκρότησης, γ. θα υπάρξουν ρυθμίσεις των δανείων που θα επιτρέψουν στους καταναλωτές και στους επιχειρηματίες να απαλλαγούν από τον οικονομικό και ψυχικό βρόγχο του δανεισμού και των «δόσεων».

Σταματώ εδώ λόγω ελλείψεως χώρου, τονίζω όμως ότι απαιτούνται ασφαλώς και άλλες βαθειές μεταρρυθμίσεις (πχ. καταπολέμηση της γραφειοκρατίας, του κρατικισμού, του φορολογικού ανορθολογισμού και της διαφθοράς) για την επανεκκίνηση της οικονομίας, μεταρρυθμίσεις τις οποίες μπλόκαραν οι φιλομνημονιακές και δήθεν φιλοευρωπαϊκές δυνάμεις. Η επιστροφή στη δραχμή θα είναι η μεγάλη ευκαιρία για μία συνολική αναδιάταξη εφ’ όλης της ύλης.
