Οι κάτοικοι αυτής της χώρας πρέπει κάποια στιγμή να ισορροπήσουν ανάμεσα στην απαίτηση αυτών που θέλουν και στην αναίρεση που δημιουργούν όσα κάνουν. Τα θέλουμε όλα ακόμα και αν δεν κάνουμε τίποτα. Ακούω αυτές τις μέρες τις βαθυστόχαστες αναλύσεις στα καφενεία, τις σφιγμένες κουβέντες στις παρέες και τις προφητείες στα τηλεπαράθυρα. Όλοι κάτι θέλουν και καλά κάνουν. Ανησυχούν για τις αγορές, φοβούνται για τη συμφωνία, ασκούν κριτική απ’ τα Αριστερά για την υποχωρητικότητα της κυβέρνησης. Όταν τα αθροίσεις όλα, βγαίνει ένας κόσμος που για πρώτη φορά έρχεται αντιμέτωπος με την ευθύνη, την επικαλείται αλλά τη φοβάται κιόλας.

Αναρωτιέμαι μερικές φορές αν η κυβέρνηση πάρει την απόφαση να προχωρήσει σε ρήξη, ποιός θα ακολουθήσει; Όσοι καταναλώνουν τον νεο-lifestyle που κρέμεται στα περίπτερα; Αυτοί που αγοράζουν εφημερίδα για τα DVD; Όσοι παρακολουθούν τα κανάλια διακατεχόμενοι από το σύνδρομο της Στοκχόλμης;

Αυτοί που παίρνουν συμβουλές ζωής από ξασμένες ξανθές; Αυτοί που ανησυχούν μήπως κλείσουν τα ΑΤΜ αν και στην Τράπεζα δεν έχουν ούτε σεντς; Ποιοί λοιπόν; Μήπως οι άλλοι; Οι συνειδητοποιημένοι που θέλουν η αλλαγή να έχει τα δικά τους μέτρα, τη δική τους ιδεολογική καθαρότητα και τη δική τους έγκριση; Όσοι αντιλαμβάνονται τη Δημοκρατία ως τη δική τους πλευρά η οποία έχει πιστοποίηση αλάθητου; Οι επαναστάτες του αντιβιοτικού που κάνουν επανάσταση τρεις φορές ημερησίως μετά το φαγητό, σα να παίρνουν αντιβιοτικό; Ποιοί αλήθεια;

Δεν είμαι των μέσων όρων, ούτε των μέσων δρόμων. Αλλά κοιτάξτε γύρω. Είμαστε μια χώρα που μαθαίνει ξαφνικά σε μια άλλη στάση και μια άλλη ευθύνη. Που μαθαίνει να ψελίζει «όχι» και προσπαθεί να το πιστέψει. Δεν αναφέρομαι στους προσκυνημένους, σε αυτούς που ανοιχτά παρακαλάνε να αποτύχει η κυβέρνηση γιατί διαφορετικά θα αποδειχθεί πόσο ψεύτες και απατεώνες ήταν. Αναφέρομαι στην πλειοψηφία του κόσμου που βγαίνει από τη βρώμα τόσων χρόνων και πασχίζει να αλλάξει κάτι με τέτοια αγωνία που θέλει όλα να αλλάξουν σχεδόν αυτόματα.

Πρέπει να βρεθεί ισορροπία και αυτή την ισορροπία δεν θα την φέρουν οι συμψηφισμοί ούτε οι εφορμήσεις σε θερινά ανάκτορα αλλά η ευθύνη. Η Αριστερά επί δεκαετίες κάνει ένα μεγάλο λάθος. Δίνει στη λέξη «ευθύνη» ένα αόριστο κοινωνικό νόημα με αυτοματισμούς και λαϊκές ομοβροντίες. Αυτή η ευθύνη είναι πολλές φορές εύκολη και συγκαλυπτική. Κανένας δεν απαιτεί, κανένας δεν απολογείται. Οι κοινωνικές μάζες κινούνται ευθύγραμμα προς την ευθύνη με ρομαντικό και μαγικό τρόπο. Αυτός ο αχταρμάς της ευθύνης, κατάλοιπο του υπαρκτού σοσιαλισμού και της στρέβλωσης της διαλεκτικής, δεν έχει χρησιμότητα σήμερα, γιατί πολλύ απλά η Αριστερά έχει την ευθύνη για όσα συμβαίνουν.

Το δάχτυλο λοιπόν πρέπει να στραφεί προς τα μέσα και να δείχνει συγκεκριμένα πράγματα. Δεν χρειάζονται αγκιτάτορες, ινστρούχτορες και τακτικές. Χρειάζεται όσοι διοικούν να σταθούν απέναντι στη δική τους ευθύνη. Και όσοι διοικούνται να επαναπροσδιορίσουν την ευθύνη τους απέναντι στα πράγματα.

Τι θέλουν κάποιον να τους σώσει; Ακόμη και αν έχει τις ικανότητες, αυτές αναιρούνται όταν ο πολίτης στερεί την δική του προωθητική δύναμη.

Ο Τσίπρας έχει ένα στοίχημα όχι μόνο απέναντι στη χώρα αλλά την Ευρώπη. Να αλλάξει αυτή η Ευρώπη με τα δομικά λάθη και τους οικονομικούς καταναγκασμούς. Το στοίχημα αυτό δεν σχετίζεται με την διαπραγμάτευση, αλλά είναι πολιτικό. Έχει τις αντικειμενικές δυνατότητες να το πετύχει, αλλά θα αποτύχει αν δεν υπάρξει συλλογική ευθύνη. Όσο αποδυναμώνεται απ αυτή, τόσο θα χάνει. Είναι εύκολο ίσως να εκθέτεις όσους χαιρέκακα εύχονται να αποτύχει λέγοντας πως αυτοπροσδιορίζονται ως η τρόικα του εσωτερικού. Το δύσκολο είναι να αποτελέσεις την έκφραση όλων των υπόλοιπων. Και των φοβισμένων, και των άπειρων, και όσων ανακαλύπτουν τη δύναμή τους και εκείνων που στον ύπνο τους φοράνε όλα τα φωτοστέφανα των χαμένων μαχών ακόμη και αν δεν τα δικαιούνται. Δύσκολη υπόθεση.     - Συλλογική ευθύνη υπάρχει και παρα-υπάρχει, δ΄λαδή, πληρώνουμε όλοι τα λάθη του Πολιτικού παρελθόντος.
    - Τί άλλο θέλουν ?? - να υπογράψουμε λευκή επιταγή υπέρ αυτών που ΔΕΝ έφαγαν "μαύρο"?

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that.
