«Well, opinions are like assholes.Everybody has one” . Χρησιμοποιώ αυτή τη βρώμικη φράση του Ήστγουντ για να γίνω κατανοητός όχι σε αυτούς που θα διαβάσουν, αλλά σε αυτούς που απευθύνομαι. Γιατί το διανοητικό τους επίπεδο και η κουλτούρα τους, είτε εμφανίζονται ως διανοούμενοι, είτε ως πολιτικά πρωτοπόροι, είναι για να καταλάβουν το «Βρώμικο Χάρυ» και τα τούρκικα σήριαλ, τα οποία, φευ,βλέπουν για να κριτικάρουν. Όπως λέει χαρακτηριστικά ένας φίλος, πρόκειται για τύπους που διαβάζουν τις περιλήψεις των βιβλίων στο εξώφυλλο και καμώνονται πως έχουν διαβάσει το βιβλίο. Άντε να αποστηθίσουν κανένα τσιτάτο από Αλτουσέρ ή Χόμπσμπαουμ με τέτοια επιμέλεια που πιστεύουν πως το έχουν γράψει οι ίδιοι.

Υπάρχει λοιπόν μια κατηγορία δημοσιογράφων (εκφράζει βέβαια ένα κομμάτι που υπάρχει στην κοινωνία) που έχει αποδώσει στον εαυτό της το ρόλο του θεματοφύλακα, του πεφωτισμένου, του παντογνώστη, του επαγγελματία κριτικού, του νεκροθάφτη των άλλων, του ηδονιζόμενου να κατασπαράζει, πάντα με το επιχείρημα πως το κάνει για να αποτρέψει κάποιον κανιβαλισμό.

Παρότι η κατηγορία αυτή επικαλείται τη σωστή λειτουργία της δημοσιογραφίας και τη δεοντολογία, συνήθως ελάχιστη σχέση έχει με αυτή. Δεν ξέρει τι είναι πεζοδρόμιο, ρεπορτάζ, σύγκρουση, ματώνω να φτάσω στην είδηση, αμφιβάλλω για όλα ακόμη και για τον εαυτό μου. Είναι η δημοσιογραφία που σέρνεται σε γραφεία, σε πολιτικά κοκτέιλ ή τσίπουρα και κάνει συζητήσεις για τη δημοσιογραφία γιατί απλώς δεν μπορεί να κάνει δημοσιογραφία.

Είναι οι ευνούχοι του επαγγέλματος, που όπως ακριβώς οι ευνούχοι στα χαρέμια αναλαμβάνουν να μάθουν στο χαρέμι όλα τα μυστικά του έρωτα, αλλά δεν έχουν κάνει ποτέ.

Κρίνουν τους πάντες υπεροπτικά, βρίσκουν ψεγάδια παντού, μειώνουν αυτό που αναμφισβήτητα γίνεται κτήμα της κοινωνίας, παγιώνοντας έτσι πονηρά και σιωπηλά τη βεβαιότητα πως οι ίδιοι έχουν αξία αφού κανένας άλλος δεν έχει. Σαν ιδεολογική και δημοσιογραφική Ιερά Εξέταση, κρατούν ηθικόμετρο, αριστερόμετρο, δημοσιογραφόμετρο για να μετρήσουν και να βρουν λειψό ό,τι μεγάλο υπάρξει γύρω τους εξαιρώντας πάντα τον εαυτό τους.

Αποστρέφουν το πρόσωπο με ξινισμένη ιδεολογική επιχειρηματολογία και ανικανοποίητο, με υπονοούμενο και «ναι μεν αλλά», σηκώνουν το δάχτυλο με επίταση, αλλά είναι έτοιμοι τα κλάψουν όταν κάποιος τους το δαγκώσει. Όταν εκφράσει «γνώμη» για αυτούς.

Υποστηρίζουν πως εκφράζουν γνώμη, αλλά εκφράζουν τον μίζερο εαυτό τους που δεν μπορεί να χαρεί τίποτα ή να κάνει τίποτα σπουδαίο, τη μικρότητα και τον συμπλεγματισμό τους. Και έπειτα θεωρούν επιβεβαίωση όσων είπαν και ταύτιση μαζί τους,πως κανένας δεν τους αμφισβήτησε γιατί κανένας δεν ασχολείται με αυτούς. Έτσι πορεύονται, χωρίς να χρησιμοποιήσουν κανένα μέτρο κοινωνικής επιβεβαίωσης, γιατί η κοινωνία γι αυτούς είναι τάξη για να κάνουν μάθημα και όχι δάσκαλος της οποίας είναι μαθητές.

Η μικροψυχία τους δεν εκπορεύεται από αξίες αλλά από την ανώμαλη αντιστροφή τους. Λένε για τον εαυτό τους «δεν είμαι αποτυχημένος και τεμπέλης, αλλά είμαι στη θέση που είμαι γιατί είμαι αριστερός και φορέας δύσκολων ηθικών αξιών» και για να μην διαψευστούν επιτίθενται σε όποιον είναι αριστερός, με ηθικές αξίες και πετυχημένος, γιατί γίνεται μέτρο της δικιάς τους αποτυχίας.Γιατί αποδεικνύει πως τα πράγματα μπορεί να είναι και διαφορετικά και δεν είναι η Αριστερά και η ηθική συνώνυμα της αποτυχίας και της μιζέριας ή του δικού τους «τίποτα»

Το τελευταίο τεύχος του HOT DOC, επανέφερε αυτή την ομάδα στο προσκήνιο. Δεν μίλησαν για το σκάνδαλο με τον Γεωργιάδη, δεν μίλησαν για τη φρίκη και τη συγκάλυψη αλλά για το τι πρέπει να είναι η δημοσιογραφία. Αυτοί οι μεγάλοι της δημοσιογραφίας, που δεν έχουν να επιδείξουν μια είδηση που έβγαλαν ή ένα θέμα με το οποίο βοήθησαν την κοινωνία.

Αφού έφτασαν στο σημείο να υποστηρίξουν πως δεν σεβόμαστε τις σεξουαλικές επιλογές του Γεωργιάδη οι οποίες είναι δικαίωμά του (δηλαδή ο καταγγελλόμενος βιασμός και η παιδοφιλία) και αφού εισέπραξαν την δημόσια κατακραυγή , το έριξαν στην ανάλυση.

Τη σκυτάλη πήρε το κομματικό όργανο του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ, η Αυγή, στην οποία κάποιος Στρατής Μπουρνάζος (φίλος της κας Ψαρρά την οποία μνημονεύει σε κείμενά του), διευκρινίζει πως από την αρχή του φάνηκε ύποπτο το εξώφυλλο, για να το αναλύσει λίγο μετά, πως ο Γεωργιάδης ήταν κάπως μαυρισμένος και έγινε για να απευθυνθεί στα ένστικτα του κόσμου. Ενδιαφέρουσα ανάλυση αυτή, πως η δεοντολογία υπάρχει ή δεν υπάρχει ανάλογα με το αν ο Γεωργιάδης ήταν μαυρισμένος από τον ήλιο, ή στο τυπογραφείο ήταν «ανεβασμένα τα μαύρα» (φαντάζομαι ο συντάκτης του άρθρου αγνοεί τον όρο). Ενδιαφέρουσα και η προσπάθεια να κριθεί όχι αυτό που αποκαλύπτεται αλλά αυτός που το αποκαλύπτει. Έχω ζήσει το φαινόμενο σε πολλές αποκαλύψεις και δεν με εκπλήσσει.

Με εκπλήσσει όμως που ο συγκεκριμένος γνωμοδότης, παντογνώστης και κριτής, δεν αναρωτιέται γιατί η εφημερίδα του πουλάει 500 φύλλα (λιγότερα και από τα γραφεία τύπου που την αγοράζουν εξ ανάγκης, ενώ ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και οι απόψεις του, αποτελούν πλειοψηφικό ρεύμα στην κοινωνία.

Δύο μέρες πριν ένας άλλος εργαζόμενος, στο άλλο κομματικό όργανο «στο Κόκκινο» έγραψε στον προσωπικό του λογαριασμό στο facebook, αφού κατασκεύασε ένα εξώφυλλο παρωδία του HOT DOC “είναι η δημοσιογραφία της ΕΥΠ ηλίθιε”. Ο συγκεκριμένος πριν από δύο χρόνια, παρουσία της αρχισυντάκτριας του HOT DOC, αφού μου έπλεξε το εγκώμιο ζήτησε να γράφει στο περιοδικό. Όταν δεν ικανοποίησα το αίτημα, άρχισε να γράφει εναντίον μου.

Είναι τραγικό, την ώρα που η Αριστερά αναζητά τα νέα ρεύματα και τις νέες ιδέες, να εκφράζεται από τα κομματικά της έντυπα με μιζέρια, μικροψυχία, κανιβαλισμό και ευτελισμό. Τυγχάνει μάλιστα αυτά τα στοιχεία να επιδοτούνται από το κόμμα με μερικά εκατομμύρια το χρόνο για να επιβιώσουν, ακριβώς επειδή δεν δέχεται κανένας να τον εκφράζουν. Η δοκιμασία τους μέσα στην κοινωνία, σε αυτή που ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ έχει πλέον δεσπόζουσα θέση, τα έχει απορρίψει.

Κάποιοι θλιβεροί και γραφικοί γραφιάδες, ανίκανοι να δοκιμαστούν στην πιάτσα (γιατί ποιός θα τους πάρει και γιατί), άσχετοι με το ρεπορτάζ και τη δημοσιογραφία, εξακοντίζουν απόψεις για τη δημοσιογραφία. Επιμένουν να βάζουν την Αριστερά και την πολιτική στην προκρούστεια κλίνη των μικρών τους δυνατοτήτων. Ξεπερασμένοι από την κοινωνία και την πραγματική ζωή, δεν μπορούν να κάνουν τίποτα άλλο απ το να επιτίθενται σε όποιον την εκφράζει ή τη ζει βαφτίζοντάς το γνώμη ( α ρε Ήστγουντ)

Αφού τους αρέσουν τα τσιτάτα να τελειώσω με μια φράση του Καμύ: «μια από τις χειρότερες αιτίες εχθρότητας είναι η λύσσα και η ποταπή επιθυμία να δεις να υποκύπτει αυτός που τολμάει να αντιστέκεται σε αυτό που σε συνθλίβει»

ΥΓ. Ευχαριστώ τους συναδέλφους από την ΕΦΣΥΝ και την Αυγή που πήραν τηλέφωνο για να με διαβεβαιώσουν πως αυτά που γράφονται στα έντυπά τους ούτε τους εκφράζουν, ούτε τα θεωρούν έντιμα και δημοσιογραφικά. Όπως βλέπουν δεν απευθύνομαι στους δημοσιογράφους αλλά σε αυτούς που παλεύουν να αποδείξουν πως είναι δημοσιογράφοι, στην μάνα τους και την παρέα τους.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on. Her piece is an incomplete depiction of what is happening on the ground, ignoring many salient facts that have come to light and which have been outdated by recent events.
