Από τον Τσίπρα ως τον Κόρμπιν και τον Σάντερς: δεν είναι αυτή η Αριστερά που θέλουμε

Τελικά και ο Μπέρνι Σάντερς παραδόθηκε στο Αμερικανικό κατεστημένο δηλώνοντας υποστήριξη προς τον πιο αυθεντικό εκπρόσωπό του: τη Χίλαρι Κλίντον. Η κίνηση απογοήτευσε χιλιάδες υποστηρικτές του Σάντερς που περίμεναν να κάνει το επόμενο μεγάλο βήμα: τη δημιουργία ενός πολιτικού σχηματισμού που θα μπορούσε να διασπάσει τον δικομματικό ολοκληρωτισμό στις ΗΠΑ.

Τόσο στις ΗΠΑ όσο και στην Ευρώπη, όλοι οι ηγέτες της νέας Αριστεράς έχουν αυταπάτες, νομίζοντας πως μπορούν να αλλάξουν το κυρίαρχο νεοφιλελεύθερο κατεστημένο από μέσα. Και ενώ ξοδεύουν χρόνο και προσπάθεια σε πολιτικούς τακτικισμούς, η ακροδεξιά αρπάζει την ευκαιρία και προωθεί τη δική της ατζέντα, προσελκύοντας όλο και πιο πολλούς υποστηρικτές.

Ο Τσίπρας παραδόθηκε τελικά στους γραφειοφασίστες των Βρυξελλών και στο διευθυντήριο του Βερολίνου υπογράφοντας ένα τρίτο καταστροφικό μνημόνιο. Ελπίζει σε έναν πανευρωπαϊκό πολιτικό σεισμό που θα μπορούσε να εξαφανίσει το παλιό πολιτικό κατεστημένο. Φαίνεται ότι αυτός ο σεισμός δεν θα έρθει τόσο εύκολα, ακριβώς λόγω της συμπεριφοράς της νέας Αριστεράς. Κάτι το οποίο ούτε ο Τσίπρας, αλλά ούτε και ο Κόρμπιν ή ο Ιγκλέσιας φαίνεται να κατανοούν.

Εντωμεταξύ, η Ελληνική οικονομία συνεχίζει να χαροπαλεύει εξαιτίας της νεοφιλελεύθερης βαρβαρότητας που επιβάλλουν οι Γερμανοί σαδο-μονεταριστές που οδηγούν το ευρω-πλοίο κατευθείαν στο παγόβουνο. Την ίδια ώρα, ο ακροδεξιός εξτρεμισμός περιμένει στη γωνία για να αρπάξει την εξουσία μέσα σ'αυτό το συνεχιζόμενο χάος και την αβεβαιότητα.

Οι μηχανισμοί του κατεστημένου ξέρουν καλά το παιχνίδι. Αυτό που φοβάται η Αριστερά, όπως ο διάβολος το λιβάνι, είναι μη τυχόν χρεωθεί ότι διολισθαίνει στις αξίες της ακροδεξιάς. Έτσι, το κατεστημένο ήταν έτοιμο να τραβήξει τη σκανδάλη σε περίπτωση που ο Τσίπρας, ο Κόρμπιν, ή, ο Ιγκλέσιας "τολμούσαν" να υποστηρίξουν την ψήφο υπέρ του Brexit, ακόμα και μέσα από μια καθαρά Αριστερή προοπτική. Οι μηχανισμοί προπαγάνδας θα τους κατηγορούσαν ότι σέρνονται πίσω από τους ακραίους εθνικιστές και την ακροδεξιά. Ακόμα και τώρα, παρόλο ο Κόρμπιν τάχθηκε ξεκάθαρα κατά του Brexit, οι εσωτερικοί αντίπαλοί του στο Βρετανικό Εργατικό Κόμμα ζητούν επίμονα την "κεφαλήν του επί πίνακι".

Κάτι παρόμοιο συνέβη με τον Σάντερς. Τα συστημικά ΜΜΕ ήταν έτοιμα να εξαπολύσουν φουλ επίθεση εναντίον του σε περίπτωση που τολμούσε να μην δηλώσει υποστήριξη προς τη Χίλαρι Κλίντον. Θα χρησιμοποιούσαν το κλασικό επιχείρημα, ανόητα απλοποιημένο μέσα από ένα λογικό άλμα: δεν υποστηρίζεις την Χίλαρι = είσαι υπαίτιος για την άνοδο του Τραμπ στην εξουσία.

Αναπόφευκτα, ο Σάντερς στράφηκε αποκλειστικά στους πολιτικούς τακτικισμούς. Θεώρησε προφανώς χρησιμότερο να υποστηρίξει τελικά την Κλίντον, έτσι ώστε να συνεχίσει τον αγώνα από μέσα. Καθόλη τη διάρκεια των προκριματικών στο στρατόπεδο των Δημοκρατικών, ο Σάντερς κατάφερε να "σύρει" του Δημοκρατικούς και την Κλίντον προς τα Αριστερά, καθώς την ανάγκασε να μιλήσει για ξεχασμένα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα που σχεδόν ισοπεδώθηκαν από τη νεοφιλελεύθερη λαίλαπα. Βλέποντας τη μεγάλη απήχηση του Σάντερς, ειδικά στην Αμερικανική νεολαία, δεν θα είναι τόσο εύκολο για την Κλίντον να "ξεχάσει" όλη αυτή τη ρητορική και τις υποσχέσεις της σε περίπτωση που γίνει η επόμενη πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ.

Ίσως ο Σάντερς θεώρησε ότι μπορεί να εξαργυρώσει την προσπάθειά του αυτή, επιτηρώντας στενά την Κλίντον, αφού δεν μπόρεσε να τη νικήσει στα προκριματικά. Έτσι, θα προσπαθήσει να γίνει ο αυστηρός επιτηρητής της ώστε να είναι εξαιρετικά δύσκολο γι'αυτή να ελιχθεί και να προσηλωθεί στη νεοφιλελεύθερη/νεοσυντηρητική ατζέντα, όπως την προορίζει το Αμερικανικό κατεστημένο. Θα είναι ακόμα πιο δύσκολο για την Κλίντον, καθώς γνωρίζει πια ότι εκατομμύρια Αμερικανοί που έχουν σιχαθεί το κατεστημένο θα την παρακολουθούν στενά.

Εντωμεταξύ, ο Ντόλαντ Τραμπ θα πρέπει να είναι πολύ χαρούμενος με την όλη κατάσταση, καθώς τώρα θα παίζει μόνος τον ρόλο του αντικαθεστωτικού, ενώ στην πραγματικότητα δεν είναι τίποτε άλλο παρά μια εφεδρεία του κατεστημένου. Μάλιστα, η ακροδεξιά τόσο στην Ευρώπη όσο και στις ΗΠΑ τελικά αποδείχθηκε πολύ χρήσιμη γι'αυτό το κατεστημένο. Το τέρας της ακροδεξιάς χρησιμοποιήθηκε εκβιαστικά ώστε να αναγκάσει τις δυνάμεις της Αριστεράς να ευθυγραμμιστούν τελικά με την παγκόσμια νεοφιλελεύθερη ατζέντα. Έτσι, ο Κόρμπιν, ο Τσίπρας και ο Ιγκλέσιας ευθυγραμμίστηκαν με το κατεστημένο ενάντια στο Brexit, ενώ ο Σάντερς ευθυγραμμίστηκε με το κατεστημένο, δηλώνοντας τελικά την υποστήριξή του στην Χίλαρι Κλίντον.

Ωστόσο, αυτό που δεν φαίνεται να αντιλαμβάνονται όλοι αυτοί οι ηγέτες της νέας Αριστεράς, είναι ότι το παγκόσμιο νεοφιλελεύθερο τέρας δεν μπορεί να νικηθεί από μέσα. Όποιος επιχειρήσει να κάνει κάτι τέτοιο αφομοιώνεται σταδιακά από το πανίσχυρό του δίκτυο. Άλλωστε, το είδαμε αυτό ήδη στην Ελλάδα. Μετά την παράδοση Τσίπρα στη Ευρωπαϊκή Χρηματοπιστωτική Δικτατορία, ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ διασπάστηκε χάνοντας τα πιο ριζοσπαστικά του στοιχεία, όπως ακριβώς είχε σχεδιαστεί από τους γραφειοφασίστες. Ο Ιγκλέσιας στην Ισπανία δεν κατάφερε να ενισχυθεί παρά τη συμμαχία με τα άλλα κόμματα της Αριστεράς στις πρόσφατες εκλογές. Ο Κόρμπιν ήδη απειλείται με καθαίρεση από το κόμμα χωρίς ουσιαστικά να έχει δώσει ακόμα καμία μάχη και ο Σάντερς συνθηκολόγησε, χωρίς καν να επιχειρήσει να δημιουργήσει έναν τρίτο, καθαρά αντικαθεστωτικό πόλο, παρά την ώθηση που του έδωσαν εκατομμύρια Αμερικανοί.

Θα πρέπει λοιπόν να αρχίσουν να αναρωτιούνται γιατί δεν μπορούν πλέον να πείσουν και γιατί έχουν παγιδευτεί σε μια λιμνάζουσα κατάσταση όπου το νεοφιλελεύθερο τέρας είναι έτοιμο να τους καταβροχθίσει. Θα πρέπει να ακούσουν τις φωνές εκατομμυρίων ανθρώπων σε όλο τον πλανήτη που λένε ότι 'δεν είναι αυτή η Αριστερά που θέλουμε'. Χρειαζόμαστε μια πλήρως αυτόνομη Αριστερά με τη δική της ατζέντα, έτοιμη να πολεμήσει και τα δύο τέρατα: το τέρας του νεοφιλελεύθερου κατεστημένου και το τέρας της ακροδεξιάς.

A response to misinformation on Nicaragua: it was a coup, not a ‘massacre’

There is so much misinformation in mainstream corporate media about recent events in Nicaragua that it is a pity that Mary Ellsberg’s article for Pulse has added to it with a seemingly leftish critique. Ellsberg claims that recent articles, including from this website, often “ paint a picture of the crisis in Nicaragua that is dangerously misleading. ” Unfortunately, her own article does just that. It looks at the situation entirely from the perspective of those opposing Daniel Ortega’s government while whitewashing their malevolent behavior and downplaying the levels of US support they have relied on.
