Έβαλαν τον Βαρουφάκη να φυλάει τα πρόβατα

Σε ποιόν θα ανέθετες την εκπόνηση ενός σχεδίου για την ενίσχυση των δομών του δημοσίου τομέα; Πιθανότατα όχι στον Κυριάκο Μητσοτάκη, ο οποίος το μόνο που ξέρει να κάνει στη ζωή του είναι να απολύει δημοσίους υπαλλήλους – όχι για να εξυγιάνει το δημόσιο αλλά για να του δώσει την χαριστική βολή πριν το ξεπουλήσει σε Έλληνες και ξένους ολιγάρχες.

Ποιόν θα όριζες υπεύθυνο για τη δημιουργία συνθηκών ελεύθερης αγοράς στις αερομεταφορές; Πιθανότατα όχι τον Χατζηδάκη ο οποίος ξεπουλώντας την Ολυμπιακή κατάφερε να δημιουργήσει μονοπωλιακές συνθήκες στην αγορά.

Από ποιόν θα ζητούσες να παρουσιάσει ένα σχέδιο για την επιστροφή της χώρας σε εθνικό νόμισμα; Μάλλον όχι από τον Γιάνη Βαρουφάκη, ο οποίος έχει αφιερώσει την τελευταία πενταετία της καριέρας του για να πείθει τους λαούς της Ευρώπης ότι πρέπει να παραμείνουν πάση θυσία στην ΕΕ και την ευρωζώνη – ακόμη και αν το κόστος είναι συρίκνωση του ΑΕΠ κατά 25%, διάλυση των παραγωγικών δυνατοτήτων της χώρας, γιγάντωση του χρέους, εκτίναξη της ανεργίας και χιλιάδες αυτοκτονίες.

Πρόκειται ίσως για τον μοναδικό πρώην υπουργό στον πλανήτη ο οποίος ταξίδευε διαρκώς στο Λονδίνο για να πείσει τους Βρετανούς να μην αποχωρήσουν από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση – γεγονός που του δίνει αναντίρρητα τον τίτλο των “διεθνών ταξιαρχιών των Βρυξελλών”. Η εμμονή του ήταν τέτοια ώστε ακόμη και ο Ταρίκ Αλί έφτασε να τον χαρακτηρίσει “ένα κακό δώρο” της ελληνικής αριστεράς στη Βρετανία.

Όσο αναγνωρισμένο και αν είναι λοιπόν σε διεθνές επίπεδο το επιστημονικό του κύρος, ο Βαρουφάκης δεν είναι ο άνθρωπος ο οποίος θέλεις να σου προσφέρει ένα Plan B για έξοδο από το Ευρώ – γιατί πολύ απλά δεν πιστεύει σε αυτό.

Και όμως στον Γιάνη Βαρουφάκη και τους πανεπιστημιακούς φίλους και συνεργάτες του ανέθεσε η κυβέρνηση Τσίπρα (σύμφωνα με τα λεγόμενα των πρώτων) να εκπονήσουν το περίφημο Plan X.

Δεν είχε σημασία αν η συγκεκριμένη κυβέρνηση είχε τότε στους κόλπους της έναν από τους πλέον καταξιωμένους επιστήμονες για το θέμα (τον Κ. Λαπαβίτσα). Δεν έπαιζε ρόλο εάν (όπως αποκάλυψε ο Γκάλμπρειθ) ο οικονομολόγος Χάινερ Φλάσμπεκ (ο άνθρωπος που βρισκόταν μαζί με τον Λαφοντέν στο πηδάλιο της γερμανικής οικονομίας όταν δημιουργήθηκε η ευρωζώνη) προειδοποιούσε την Ελλάδα να φύγει άμεσα από τη ζώνη του ευρώ.

Σημασία είχε ότι ο Τσίπρας, έχοντας αποφασίσει να προσδεθεί ολοκληρωτικά στο Βερολίνο (εγκαταλείποντας τα “ατλαντικά” οράματα τα οποία εξέφραζε και το δίδυμο Βαρουφάκης – Παναρίτη) ανέθεσε την εκπόνηση του Plan Χ σε έναν άνθρωπο που δεν μπορούσε και δεν ήθελε να το φέρει εις πέρας.

Με αυτά τα δεδομένα το λόμπι του ευρώ παίζει τις τελευταίες ημέρες ένα εξαιρετικό παιχνίδι προπαγάνδας μετακινώντας τα γκολπόστ της συζήτησης για το ευρώ. Παρουσιάζοντας τον Βαρουφάκη σαν τον άνθρωπο που ήθελε να βγάλει την Ελλάδα από την ευρωζώνη δημιουργεί μια “αντιπαράθεση” ανάμεσα σε δυο στρατόπεδα κανένα εκ των οποίων δεν ήθελε την επιστροφή σε εθνικό νόμισμα.

Η επίθεση βέβαια εναντίον του Βαρουφάκη είναι προφανώς ανήθικη και απευθύνεται σε ένα ακροατήριο σε πρώιμα στάδια υδροκεφαλισμού – πως αλλιώς να εξηγήσεις ότι ζητάνε από μια κυβέρνηση να μην εκπονεί εναλλακτικά σχέδια διαχείρισης κρίσεων.

Το αποτέλεσμα όμως είναι ότι και από τις δυο πλευρές ακούγονται για άλλη μια φορά μόνο τα επιχειρήματα υπέρ του ευρώ.

Αυτό που συμβαίνει σε επικοινωνιακό επίπεδο τα τελευταία 24ωρα είναι σαν να παίζει μια ομάδα ποδοσφαίρου εναντίον των αναπληρωματικών της. Όποιος και αν κερδίσει η νίκη πηγαίνει στην ομάδα. Στην περίπτωσή μας η νίκη πηγαίνει στο λόμπι του ευρώ.
